1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: 3 New Political Opinion Embroidery Pieces! (healthcare, zines and ignorance) on: October 19, 2009 06:27:34 AM
your pieces look fantastic. just one little comment about the healthcare debate piece, though... Newfoundland isn't actually attached to the rest of Canada.
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: What to do with Schick Intuition Razor handles??? on: October 10, 2009 10:33:56 PM
maybe you could attach them somehow to a piece of wood and make a coat hanger?
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: my homecoming dress!! on: September 22, 2009 09:36:56 AM
that's a really cute dress. as for the fraying, have you thought of using Fray Check? it'll help the edges of the material stay together, eliminating the worry of the seam allowance just completely fraying away.

6  COOKING / Dessert / Re: GingerSNAP! on: July 20, 2008 02:03:41 PM
every christmas I use martha's recipe for gingerbread cookies and last year I forgot to put the pepper in, but it just didnt taste the same. I don't know if it's the same with the ginger snaps or not, but the ground pepper does add a nice warmth to those spice-oriented goodies
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Mr Bean's teddy on: May 22, 2008 06:23:42 PM
I forget where I found the pattern for this guy, but if you search through google I'm sure you'll find it. It's a pretty quick project, although from start to finish it took me over a year. I just ended up getting him half finished and put him down until tonight. I am notorious for putting projects down and forgetting about them for months.

9  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Re: pink and yellow scarf on: March 16, 2008 06:46:02 AM
we use mostly natural fibres in everything we do, so the mysterious thread could also be cotton but I'm not entirely sure. I think my knit/weave instructor would have a fit if I touched anything synthetic. I'm really spoiled with this course I'm taking. I have absolutely everything at my fingertips free of charge. We have professional screenprinting supplies and equipment, shelves of both natural and chemical dyes, about 10 looms, a tapestry loom that I have no idea how to use, and god knows how many sewing/embroidery/quilting machines. It's like a crafter's dream.
