1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Nomadic furniture...going where other furniture fears to tread! on: February 09, 2009 04:21:23 PM
I read all of that tutorial (to be honest it's a little hard to follow without reading it a few times and googling some words lol) but I am moving cities in a few weeks and I definately want to try the circular swirl shelf idea with the boxes I'll have left over.
Did you cover yours with glossy tape prior to painting? I think I'll try that paper framers tape (that framers use to seal the mounting at the back) and brown paper....much more expensive though....and somewhat defeating the purpose of recycling the boxes...
I suppose a lot less tree goes into paper than furniture though...
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Decorative Wire Wall Hanging on: February 09, 2009 04:14:57 PM
wow this is cool, it's started a whole buch of ideas running around in my head - What if you did a series of them and mounted them in shadow boxes, just deep enough that there's a shadow behind (like yours) then throughout the day the light would change and they'd take on completely different aspects. I think it's definately something I would like to experiment with. What gauge of wire did you use? Varied gauges would be interesting too for the shadowbox thing as the line thinknessess (in the shadows especially) would vary dramatically and look interesting.

I love this, it's exactly the proportions I've been wanting to make a bag - Is there a tutorial you used, or could you make one? Or at the least could you please let us know what dimensions this is =) It looks beautiful, you should be so proud! Wear it with your chin up!!
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Sock Monkeys!!!!! with 3 pics on: June 24, 2006 11:44:02 PM
OMG these are sooo adorable!! I think the second is my favouritest!! XD
If you have the time/energy after your weekend sock monkey adventures do you think it would be too much to post a tut? I think I've almost worked out how to piece these together in my head but a more graphic explanation would be super-spectacular-swishy good!
Heh, i love your sock monkeys, im totally pushing the 'this rocks' button!!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Deliciously girly hoodie. Stripes + Pink = Love *TUTORIAL ADDED PAGE 6* on: June 24, 2006 09:58:46 PM
is it weird that an 11 year old liked kevin best coz he had a bit of facial hair and was the most rugged looking?...that said i didn't approve of his long hair phase...

Anyways, AWESOME tut thank you so much, ive been looking for an easy to follow tutorial like this for ages. One question though, how do you stop the zipper from doing that horrible wavy thing it always does with t-shirt fabric?!
Love the hoodie <3
