1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Mad Eye Patch on: August 11, 2009 11:28:10 AM
I went to visit some friends and wanted to make up little flower headbands for the little girls, but there was one boy.  I was so happy when I found this pattern on ravelry.com.  It was a hit!  With the girls too of course!

For the pattern you can visit ravelry (just enter eye patch in the search) or go to http://kellyskraftystuff.blogspot.com/2008/11/mad-eye-patch-free-pattern.html

I hope you like it!

Modelled by yours truly... as Tyra Banks says you have to model with your eyes - I tried my best to show emotion in this one...

I like to think that I have an eye for flowers...

The eye patch.  The pattern had an elastic attachment, but I went with a long tie instead since I did not know how to even guess the size of a boy's head.

This is great!  Can you share the pattern?  I know many little girls who would love this!
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Lotus Flower Cuff on: May 30, 2009 11:32:44 AM
Here is a bracelet/cuff that I made.  I needed something orange for spring!

I got the pattern for the lotus flower from a web search that brought me to http://creativeyarn.blogspot.com/2008/06/lotus-flower-cuff.html.  It's such a pretty flower pattern!  And easy!  Thanks creativeyarn!

I made the rest of the bracelet by crochet-ing around some craft rings and then stitching them together, I also made a button and a loop.  I am very happy with how it turned out and that I put it together in an afternoon.

I use some acrylic yarn I had around the house and used a 3.5 hook.

I hope you like it too! Cheesy

This is the cuff on my skinny-not-yet-seen-the-sun arm!  Grin

It's so pretty!  Well done! Cheesy

I did machine wash it that's why I had to do some touch ups, but I figured that if a baby spits up on it, you don't want to hand wash!  I hope it continues to withstand some more machine washing!  LoLi

Thanks for your comments  Smiley  Sorry I couldn't post more up close pics... it's gone already.

Cheers!
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Happy Baby Blanket on: March 05, 2009 01:58:51 PM
Here is the blanket I made for my friend, who is expecting.  I picked the colours so that they are bright and cheerful, not the pale yellows, blues, etc that are usually in the baby section. It took me a while, because I am fairly new at crochet and stitching them all together was not as easy as I thought.  I washed it and a bit of it came undone, but it has since been mended.  At least it came unstitched for me & not my friend!

.

Cheers!

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bunnies for Babies on: March 01, 2009 11:37:29 AM
Here is my foray into Amigurumi.  So many of my friends are having baies these days, I thought I would crochet up a few little gifts.  The patterns for both were found on the Lion Brand website

The Cuddle Bunny is great for little babies.  I actually have a not-so-nice polyester one that was purchased for my little guy.  I wish I had known how to make one for him back then...

This little cutie is for my friend's little girl.

I hope you like them!

I am actually using a smaller hook ('N' 10 mm), I found the other one too big.
