I live in Laredo, TX, about 3 miles away from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.  In just the past few months things have gotten crazy over there, so I haven't been going across as much to shop or go to the dentist and optometrist.  Sucks! 
I made this t-shirt using the freezer paper technique (LOVE the FREEZER PAPER THiNG!), to show how tough I am.



Lesson:  Don't do drugs, kids!  I need to get some prescription sunglasses and will have to pay an exorbitant amount to buy them here in Texas!
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Titles of Items on Etsy...is there a magic formula? on: April 02, 2010 07:58:44 PM
What do you think is the best way to get your items to show up in google searches?  I know there's something about 'synchronization' but I don't know exactly what that is.  I know I don't have that, though.  What I want to know is how to title my items, what words I should put in the description, etc.  For instance; should I title a pendant I made from an old French postage stamp 'French Stamp Pendant' or 'Vintage French Stamp Pendant' or 'Vintage French Postage Stamp Pendant' or what?  I've also heard that it is imperative to include the word 'handmade' into the title, but would that be too wordy?  Only the first 25 characters or so of the title show up on the home page if you are in 'gallery view' so I want to make sure people know what the item is pretty quickly.

Any advise from Etsy shoppers and sellers?

My boyfriend is super-old.  So I call him mi viejo (Spanish for: my old man).  I made this card for him and on the inside it says:  "you make me feel so young!  I made it with a cricut they had at scrapbooking night at Micheals.  And green is his favorite color.

Who doesn't love lucha (Mexican Wrestling)?  I found this advertisement for an old Lucha movie and I had to put it on something.  So it got decoupage-d on a paper mache box.  Now it holds pushpins.

I learned the freezer-paper technique here on craftster and have been doing it for a while, but never posted...so here goes!
I made this onesie for a friend at work whose daughter just had an adorable, fat bebe.  I'm thinking of making more to put on my etsy shop, not sure yet...
