My sister and I decided to knit my mom a sweater for Christmas. We were discussing what to put on the sweater and came up with silhouettes of our faces. I knit the front and the one arm. My sister knit the back and the other arm.

I first took our pictures then printed them out two pages high. And then cut them out.

I knit a little bit of dark grey at the bottom and measured my stitches. I came up with 4 stitches per inch across and 6 stitches per inch high.
I then used this
website to create graph paper with boxes 1/6 in X 1/4 in so that each box was the same size as one stitch.
I then traced our cut out faces onto the graph paper and there was my chart that I knit from!

I'm sure there might be a program out there or something to create charts with but I thought this was an nice easy way. And it actually worked out!!
