1  Cupcake Scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by sugarhandgrenade on: November 23, 2007 11:15:47 AM
So for some reason I'm on a total cupcake crochet binge. I made a scarf to match the cupcake hat I posted on here a while back:

2  My very first (yummy) hat! in Crochet: Completed Projects by sugarhandgrenade on: October 21, 2007 10:29:50 AM
I've been crocheting off and on for about 3 years now but all I've ever made were single crochet, straight scarfs. BORING! This is my very first non-scarf items. Woot!

I was suprised it took less time to make than it usually does for a scarf.

3  Moon Kite Striped V-Neck with HUGE gathered Sleeves in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sugarhandgrenade on: October 18, 2007 11:37:57 AM
Okay, this is yet another Threadless.com tshirt reconstruct, and by now you probably think I have a box full of threadless shirts. Well, you'd be right.

4  Robot Bunny Shirt with Collar and Puff Sleeves in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sugarhandgrenade on: October 16, 2007 06:33:55 PM
I always fall back on Threadless.com shirts when I'm feeling uninspired. I had this 2XL shirt and I added a faux peter pan collar to the front and gave it puff sleeves with original tshirt binding. I kept the original length to make it a tunic too.

5  Punk Lumberjack Houndstooth Hoodie in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by sugarhandgrenade on: September 30, 2007 11:31:28 AM
I have also loved this plaid lumberjack fabric because of the hat Little Pete wears in "The Adventures of Pete and Pete". The only thing is that it can kind of look too manly and too 1994 if not used properly.

SOOOOO I lined the front with a black/white houndstooth, used it around the bottom, sleeves, and hood to give it some mixed print contrast. And I officially LOVE 2-way zippers.

6  Punk Red Leopard Glamour Dress - PIC HEAVY in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by sugarhandgrenade on: August 17, 2007 10:51:08 AM
I've been making bags and wallets for the last week and I was getting pretty bored with it all. SO I made something a little out of the ordinary to spice up my sewing:

It's made using red leopard stretch velvet and black knit for the straps.

7  Ceramic Mini Wall Plaques in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by sugarhandgrenade on: August 07, 2007 04:39:13 PM
So here are some small little owls that I hand cast and painted. They measure appox 3"x2" and they have a metal hanger on the back so you can mount them on the wall.

I painted them in colors inspired by 70's kitchens. I think they would look good staggered or grouped together.

8  Brown Leopard Babydoll Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by sugarhandgrenade on: August 05, 2007 10:02:09 AM
I'm so happy with how this dress turned out. I thought it would take forever to ake since there were gathers on each piece that I cut out - but it only took an hour!

I love the sleeves the best. They have elastic in the hem so they look puffy but aren't all tight on your arm. My mom says it looks REALLY short but that's what a babydoll dress is right?

9  Multi-Hearts Gathered 'Built By Wendy' Tunic in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by sugarhandgrenade on: August 03, 2007 11:23:53 AM
This is the first Built by Wendy pattern that I've been absolutely satisfied with the finished project. It was super easy and only took about an hour to sew.

10  Invade Zim GIR Dress! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by sugarhandgrenade on: July 05, 2007 01:51:33 PM
Made using Gir from Invader Zim fabric! The bottom portion has a pieced together linen/lace overlay with a lime green underskirt. There's green gingham ruffled trim where the linen and lace meets. It took forever to cut out but not so long to make. SO proud of it!
