21  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Bitchy embroidery on: April 20, 2011 01:00:04 PM
I saw this written on a bathroom wall. It may have come from somewhere else originally, but it was the first time i'd ever heard it, and i thought it was pretty darn funny. So, i stitched this up today as an attempt to avoid packing for my upcoming move to ohio. i am really good at procrastinating.

26  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / colander lamp! on: January 24, 2011 02:42:37 PM
my boyfriend and i have been wanting to do this project for a while and we finally got around to it. it was so easy that i regret we didnt do it ages ago! we just took a colander and cut a hole out of the bottom with a jigsaw, then stuck a hanging lamp fixture (taken from an old lamp we didnt like anymore) and stuck in in there with a decorative bulb. easy peasy, and it looks lovely lit at night. not that you can really tell from my crappy pictures......

oh, and behind it is the shade i made from repurposed mini blinds in a previous project- http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=321300.msg3704110#msg3704110
which also arent done any favors by my crappy photography  Roll Eyes

27  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / clockwork orange embroidery on: January 22, 2011 10:14:09 PM
i made this clockwork embroidery for my swap partner in the OWS 66 swap. i was a little nervous because ladies are cranking out some really great stuff in there, but i really like how it came out.

28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Chubs on: January 18, 2011 02:04:37 PM
Thought this would make a good V-day gift for somebody. Its a Quote from one of my favorite songs on Tim and Eric Awesome Show.

29  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / birdie blackwork on: January 11, 2011 10:20:15 AM
I finally completed this piece last night after picking it up and putting in down for a few months. i had ripped this image out of a music magazine a while ago thinking it would make a lovely embroidery. i think it is the cover art on an album from a band i have never heard of. i was wishing i had picked a different fabric though, this one was a little too loosely woven, and it was kind of pulling and making holes, oh well. i'm still proud of how it turned out.

comments/critiques welcomed!

Awww, isnt that sweet? This was a vintage pattern that i gave a dirty little twist. It was just something about that innocent little over-the-shoulder look......
