Very nice...perfect for spring! The color combo works cuz its muted...not to bold/dark

I picked up some of those super cheap on clearance...I wanted to buy all of them, they were so fun...of course when I went back to get the rest they were gone...so I only had enough to make 5 bracelets, sigh.

Man, I feel ripped off! The Target near my house only had seed beads, none of the big square ones...but I spose I shouldn't complain...I still picked up a ton of those.

Yay for duct tape! It allowed me to wear the same pair of Chuck Taylors for 5 years!

Yeah, it didn't work too well...we would make a paste, apply & let dry...it showed up ok on lighter hair, but washed out right away...we smelled nice&fruity though! The other thing was painting our nails with wite-out and coloring over with hi-liters. (need I mention that I grew up in a small town where Manic Panic & Urban Decay were not available?)

I just learned how to purl last week & the same thing happened to me...lucky I was only a few rows in so I started over...its all trial & error...when I started my first scarf, I made it up as I went along...as in "hmmm, 50 is a nice number, I'll cast on 50 stitches." I ended up with a scarf so wide its like trying to wear a blanket around my neck, but it took so long to make and I dont have the heart to toss it!

yeah, you'd think since I'm holding pointy metal sticks they wouldn't taunt me!

I taught myself from a book 2 weeks ago...I only knit, haven't learned to purl yet...I knit on the bus or during breaks between classes & the non-crafty folks are impressed with the fact that I'm knitting at all...my 1st project (a scarf, of course) has some barely visible mistakes, which were rudely pointed out by 2 experienced knitters I work with, and a lady on the bus mocked my slow pace...I'm just learning, give me a break! So now I'm totally paranoid that I'm just wrongwrongwrong. My main obsession is beading/jewelry, which I'm pretty skilled at, but I would never crush someone's ego cuz they're trying something new! I'm really thankful everyone here is so supportive:)

Since I'm such a klutz, I recognised the danger of knitting needles right away...I've only been knitting about 2 weeks...no injuries yet. I knit on the bus to & from school and feel safer at night cuz I've got a pair of deadly weapons, lol!

one of my coworkers lost a button on her uniform shirt months ago...she staples it shut every day (its covered by a tie so nobody can see it) I offered to sew the button on, but no...

anyway, its a shame your skirt ripped...its so cute in the picture...was it fixable?
