2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / My first Fairy Houses! on: May 22, 2011 03:22:22 AM
I was so inspired by the fairy houses I saw here about a year ago, but never really got around to making any until recently. Partially because I only had crappy craft glue that took forever to dry and I only recently got a glue gun. I made three houses.

This house was originally going to be a door when I first started last year that I never got around to finishing. Instead, I salvaged it and turned it into a house ;3 The walls are made of rose stems from a bouquet, everything else is just random flowers and leaves. I don't know what kind of plant I used for the roof.
This house was placed in front of a house in my boyfriend's neighborhood. I hope they don't mind their new "neighbors" ;3

This was partially inspired by Tangled, which is why it has a rounded shape. Tree bark, leaves, flowers, and a closed flower for the door handle. It started browning/shriveling/dying a bit, so it'll probably look different soon. This was placed on a short wooden fence with plants growing around it. I forgot to take a photo.

All leaves, with a toothpick structure inside. Also browning, but more so from the hot glue. Placed in another neighbor's front lawn.

Right next to a lantern!

I'm hoping to make a bunch more houses over the summer!
3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Bottled Tranquility [1 picture collage] on: November 24, 2010 07:04:33 PM
Starting small cellphone strap/charm/whatever business on Etsy soon. I'm an avid collector of cell straps, so why not sell em to get em? Silly, I know.
Anyway, the bottle's about an inch tall, and the crane's a centimeter. This is my own personal charm, which is why the bottle's so dirty...it's been on my phone to test durability e 3e; But now it's done Grin

Look good? Yes? No? Sellable?

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / simple additions to a simple shirt [one giant picture collage] on: January 26, 2009 08:28:14 PM
It started with a sketch. Then, one day at the mall, as I was rummaging through the sale section of Charlotte Russe, I found a cute button down shirt. It was a little big, but it was cute enough and at $7 I wasn't going to complain. When I got home, I busted out my sewing stuff and my lace stash and got to work. Took me a couple days though, since it's all hand sewn... =3=

Had to make some alterations, since I couldn't make it match my design because of the belt loops and I ran out of blue ribbon, but whatever.
