1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Lots of cute and pink stuff! Bats, berries, ice cream! etc! IMG HEAVY on: June 06, 2014 01:09:10 PM
Thank you everyone! That bats are my favorite too.

What yarn are you using for the fluffy ones like the bats and the bear heads?
They are from Daiso. I don't have the label with the name anymore though. It's sort of like eyelash yarn, except really short and soft. I guess it's comparable to the soft/fluffy baby yarns, except the fluff sticks out in direction like eyelash/is more flat and isn't fluffy all around.
The pink bats though are made with Bernat Baby Boucle.

I guess I've been a little busy since the last time I post here (read: years ago)
I've been making more cutesy things, like bats.

And strawberries

and ice cream

animal heads...like a necklace, a ring, and brooches.

3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: My first Fairy Houses! on: May 24, 2011 02:03:39 PM

I'm hoping they'll all be where I left them when I go to my boyfriend's house friday.
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / My first Fairy Houses! on: May 22, 2011 03:22:22 AM
I was so inspired by the fairy houses I saw here about a year ago, but never really got around to making any until recently. Partially because I only had crappy craft glue that took forever to dry and I only recently got a glue gun. I made three houses.

This house was originally going to be a door when I first started last year that I never got around to finishing. Instead, I salvaged it and turned it into a house ;3 The walls are made of rose stems from a bouquet, everything else is just random flowers and leaves. I don't know what kind of plant I used for the roof.
This house was placed in front of a house in my boyfriend's neighborhood. I hope they don't mind their new "neighbors" ;3

This was partially inspired by Tangled, which is why it has a rounded shape. Tree bark, leaves, flowers, and a closed flower for the door handle. It started browning/shriveling/dying a bit, so it'll probably look different soon. This was placed on a short wooden fence with plants growing around it. I forgot to take a photo.

All leaves, with a toothpick structure inside. Also browning, but more so from the hot glue. Placed in another neighbor's front lawn.

Right next to a lantern!

I'm hoping to make a bunch more houses over the summer!
5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: Shop Name? on: January 26, 2011 02:39:56 AM
I use to be KeyReyCreations, for the lack of creativity. KeyRey is one of my nicknames, and Creations just got thrown in to make it sound more...business like.
A few months ago I changed it to ChasingTheFrill, which my boyfriend actually came up with. One of my AIM usernames is ChasingTheThrill, which is a play on a song I like called CHASE/THE THRILL. He made fun of my username and said he should make another called ChasingTheFrill because he was "chasing" me. Frill because I'm a lolita, and I do indeed love my ruffles. I ended up /really/ liking the name and used it for my shop. Nothing's listed yet, but I hope to live up to the name in one way or another.
6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Bottled Tranquility [1 picture collage] on: November 24, 2010 07:04:33 PM
Starting small cellphone strap/charm/whatever business on Etsy soon. I'm an avid collector of cell straps, so why not sell em to get em? Silly, I know.
Anyway, the bottle's about an inch tall, and the crane's a centimeter. This is my own personal charm, which is why the bottle's so dirty...it's been on my phone to test durability e 3e; But now it's done Grin

Look good? Yes? No? Sellable?

7  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Pokemon Swap Round 3 Sign-Ups 07/01 - 07/15 Sendouts 08/16 on: July 11, 2010 09:21:23 PM
Thank you for the links, but I've looked over them before. It mentions the point system, but it doesn't explain them. The first page lists different things for each size/point amount, like time, material, and what it actually is. So I don't understand how each adds up the points for the swap. Like...say I were to make a shirt and it takes me less than an hour [by magic, of course ;3], it lists a shirt as a Large/3pts and under 2hours as Small/1pt. How does that add up in terms of the 6 points?

I've never done a Craftster swap before, so I'm hoping I do things right o__o; I've done BJD related swaps on DenOfAngels, but I'm not quite sure I understand how the point system here works. Sorry if I sound silly, but could someone explain it to me please? I'd really like to take part in this.
