1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Sailor Moon Inspired Earrings/Necklaces on: November 12, 2012 10:17:52 AM
Hello Craftster! It's been so long!!

Ahh! I'm finally comfortable with my jewelry work (after for so long @@).. > <! I've been so nervous and shy to post! These are pieces of my most recent 'ideas' I guess I could say~ The first picture is influenced on a character in Sailor Chibi Moon's transformation outfit more specifically! And I'm sorry these pictures might be big! The one on the bottom is a necklace version of the Luna Scepter earrings I usually make.

The concept I'm trying to grab are the various Sailor Scouts outfits. I wanted to make a subtle type of jewelry that would "show off" the love I have for the anime ~~ The name of the earrings I make, Luna Scepters, come from the way the scepters that Serena (Sailor Moon) has throughout the anime. I hope that these pieces grabbed the concept better than how I explained it haha!

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Rice writing in vials, new bracelets, oh no! on: May 21, 2010 09:40:30 PM
Sad This jewelry making addiction is hard to not do (well I lie, it stops when you run out of ideas). Ever since my last post I've made more and more earrings/bracelets. I'm currently in looooove with using ribbon and chain. Here's some of the pictures I took but not all of the ones I've made recently are up (sister couldn't get her hands off them!)

Necklaces

(The only styles I've attempted)

Bracelets

Earrings

Cellphone gadgetry

This is the first picture I took of it.

Now I've recently acquired supplies to do some rice writing which is just vials and pens. I'm super happy that I was able to write legibly on the rice grain! I must say though it was really tough finding a glue to that would stick the cap onto the vial :/ (I even tried e6000, hypocement, and resorted to using a hot glue gun because the glue kept coming off, I came to believe that it was the oil-based solution I used).

Sorry that some have names on it >< the original files are all huge for backup purposes!! I'm also sorry that the pictures are all.. jumbled out in order, I recently did a big move and wanted to take new pics of my stuff.

Is it tacky to not "finish" the ribbons if you intend to have it tied? Like a bow? CC is always appreciated!!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / I've been bitten by the jewelry bug! on: April 18, 2010 11:19:34 PM
I've recently learned how to make jewelry and I must say... It's even more addictive than shopping for clothes (at least for me!) I've been scavenging for jewelry pieces that I could reuse or separate.

My collection of earrings so far.. Top left is my very first ones and the ones at the bottom right are my latest. The gold ones used to be one whole earring and wasn't my taste at all so that ended up being separated.

Bracelets I've made! The butterfly one is my first one made, and the blue one is an inspiration of an old bracelet that was passed down to me.

And finally a skull ring!

I'm still a beginner so I'm thankful for any c&c!
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Making cell phone straps? on: January 30, 2010 07:36:17 PM
Hello, first time posting long time lurking here. I've been having trouble finding these cell phone straps for a reasonable price, I've searched on etsy, fmg, ebay, and other supply sites. Now I just plan on giving up on buying them and rather make them on my own.

I've come across various youtube vids and tutorials but this one helped me out a bit except.. I have no idea where to get this part of the strap:

[Random cell phone charm I googled]
The piece that the two brown arrows are pointing at.. Does anyone know what it is called and where I could get it?

I read from this tutorial it's called a clamp but I'm having a troubled time looking for it through shops.

I thought maybe it could be this, http://www.firemountaingems.com/details.asp?pn=H201951FN but then I realized that there would be no hole for a jumpring to go through! And here's a pic of what I'm talking about:

[found on an Etsy store]

I'm sorry if I didn't make sense, I'm just in a wreck trying to figure out what they are! I hope someone could help me out! Thank you in advance
