11  Re: IYP16 - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by nannyem on: August 06, 2010 08:11:24 PM
I received from my partner GlinkS1063 We sent the same day to see if we would get our packages the same day, and we did. Cheesy For our swap we challenge ourselves to do two themed items for each other along with our other items. We did a Garage Sale Fab theme and a Coffee themed. So with out further Ado my lovely swap package.
First up is the amazing Origami Kusudama Balls made from old magazines. This are so cool. They are about the size of a grapefruit with some wooden and paper beads strung on. The picture does not do it justice.

Next are some hand painted plant stakes with matching seed packets and starter pots. I'm already putting some of these to use.

Then for our Garage Sale Fab She bought 2 ugly brown frames and made them 2 distressed frames with a toile fabric inside that she colored with markers. I think these are going into my fancy new bathroom we are remodeling.

And last for our Coffee theme she made Embroidered dish towel/oven mitts. They are soooooo cute and soooo needed. Wink

And not pictured are some tins of candy, stickers, and markers for my girls but I cant pry them out of their grubby little hands. Seriously I turned around and the older one had covered the younger ones face in stickers.  Cheesy
 Thank you so much!!!

I may be the last to post on this lovely gallery but better late then never right?
So these are the inchies that Foxymama gave me but I forgot to post the pictures so I'm doing it now Wink
They were sent in plastic and I wanted them to stay safe so I didn't take the plastic off before taking the picture. I just love the snowflake one.

And I call these my lost inchies. They were sent by cindibee and were lost in the mail Undecided and were returned to her damaged Cry But cindibee felt that the damaged inchie just gave it more charactor. I absolutely agree. Cheesy I love them all. Its good to have them home.

Thank you to all my partners. This was an epic swap.

Ok, so it my turn to post what I received from the very talented Raesmom. Here is the "Jar." Its a crocheted bag with a crocheted flower charm on the outside. Its also green my favorite color.

This bag was stuffed with some awesome goodies.
A bunch of beads, and a beautiful crocheted daffodil.

There were toys, charms, wooden shapes, old watch parts, pom poms, buttens, old jewelry and coins. I have a five year old daughter and she was going nuts over this stuff.

As some of her crafted items she made these felt cookies and crocheted tea mugs for my daughters which they have been playing with all evening. Even my 1 1/2 year old was pretending to eat the cookies.

Now pay attention everyone because these are truly amazing. Inspired from my wist little crochet acorns.

Some more whimsies. Fabric, yarn, lipgloss, fun plastic letters, glitter stickers, buttens, silver disks, plastic do-dads.
There was so much fun!!

And last but not least is this hat. Now this took my breath away.

It is this blue grey color that matches my eyes. Its so soft and beautiful. I have never had anything like this before. Thank you Thank you Thank you Raesmom!!!

ITS PILLOW MADNESS!!

Thanks Phizzychick for introducing us to this lovely technique! I spent a lot of time yesterday watching her other videos.
So here are mine that I started last week. I plan on only using old clothes for the materiel. At first I wasn't sure if old t-shirts would work but they turned out fine.

Grin  That's what I love about swapping. Its so much fun to get suprises in the mail.  Anyways, my  partner sent me a set of four super cute collages. Here is a picture with the four together.

Here is a closer look at the four.

They are so cute, I think they may end up living in my daughters new playroom.
Thank you zkatom!

Now I just have to get yours finished up Wink Dont worry I worked on it some more tonight.
