32  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Swell 1950's Swap! SIGNUPS POSTED! on: December 13, 2006 10:35:58 AM
Okay, here's what I mean.

I just love the advertising art from the 1950's era-especially things like this:

I also love the fashions, craft patterns, awful recipes,Anne Taintor-style altered pictures...So, I don't know if this would need narrowing down, what do you all think? I personally would want to be partnered with someone who enjoyed the advertising images, but we could have a lot of smaller themes within a larger one. I guess this would be sort of like a Vintage Swap, but more specialized. I'd be up for organizing.

34  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Would anyone want to make me a Big Mama Thornton Stencil? on: August 04, 2006 06:51:07 AM
Hi everyone! I know that there are lots of tutorials around, but I'm not good at figuring out which lines are the important ones. Would any of you lovely people want to take your awesome skills and make me a stencil of this pic? Sans the words, of course. I love Big Mama Mae and I want to show her off...I would be forever grateful!!! I'd be happy to make you something in trade..

36  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / How to make a knitting coffee travel mug! on: July 27, 2006 05:53:13 AM
I don't have a camera anymore,so I won't be able to post pictures, but I thought you might like to try this: I got one of those travel mugs from the Dollar tree that you can put pictures inside. You know, screw off the top and there's an empty space between the two layers? So I'm knitting a cabled swatch on tiny needles to stick in there, big enough to go all the way around, so I can display my love of knitting plus look at cables while I drink my coffee! yay!

Why not?
37  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Significant Other Swap Round 4? on: July 20, 2006 09:06:26 AM
Original Thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=89586.0

About time for a new one! I'll organize! Who's with me? I'm thinking of having long signups, like a month, and having it start around August 20, and wrapping up around mid-September.
38  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / F is for Fox on: July 10, 2006 04:43:00 PM
Well. I am not the most accomplished embroidererererer, but I recently cobbled this together. I only know chain stitch and lazy daisy, and my chain leaf stitch attempt was a bit wonky. I'm trying to get a design made for a line of things called Stone Cold Fox, but I thought this one came out a little precious for that, so I did F is for fox instead. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make him a little more realistic/edgier? I'd love any help!

40  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / The Discworld Librarian by Bucciboo! on: July 06, 2006 07:53:02 AM
Bucciboo made me this in the Discworld swap--for those of you new to the Discworld, the Librarian was turned into an orangutan by a magical accident and refuses to to be changed back to being human. Is he not amazing!!
