The photographs are amazing. Is he a professional photographer or just a hobbiest? Anyway, your book is wonderful. He will love it tremendously. You did a beautiful job displaying his work.

Cheesy Thanks!
Haha. Swap Virgins?
Is it a little too awkward/inappropriate to mention that small yippy dogs are going to pop our cherries then? Wink
Bad, bad. Sorry. Cheesy
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Painting on Vinyl Umbrella on: May 16, 2007 08:37:18 PM
Sounds like an interestng project and if you get it completed be sure to post pictures. My first thought was sharpies also, but I would have the same concerns as cinnamon teal. The only thing I can think of would be try googling vinyl fabrics and see if they mention a medium that is useable. They might even make a paint specifically for it. Hope that helps some.
If not you could always pick up an umbrella at the dollar store or something and experiment on it with different mediums.

If I am not in the right area please let me know, or feel free to delete my post mods. (Sorry if I am!)
Anyway, I'm a hobby artist (If thats even the right word)...I really just draw/paint etc if I have free time and am bored. (My only real talent is photography)
I'm having a yard sale this weekend and am moving in two weekends. In other words everything must go! Looking through my drawers I noticed they are stock full of *ahemcrap* artwork. Everything from acrylic paint to charcoal, grafite to block print. My first thought was to throw it all away. But my boyfriend suggested selling it at the sale. I figure I have nothing to lose by doing so, so I will. My only question is how much do I charge? I literally have a little of everything but nothing is...well...good. (No I don't have pictures of anything, and no I won't take any Tongue)
They range from 3"x5" to 6'x7'
Any suggestions?

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Math motivation for my boyfriend on: May 15, 2007 07:20:22 PM
Wow thanks guys, you're awesome! Simple ideas but deffinitely great.

mimi123333: I did buy him a calculator but he already has it so maybe I will make him a pouch for it (I'm making him a backpack also).

mermaide: The cheat sheet idea is perfect. Hah (I even incorporated a slot in his backpack to put it) Thank you so much!

lilian: Hah when I was originally tutoring him for math I used that idea to help! (And he loved it) So I will probably do it again through the semester when he gets super stressed!

Thanks again guys, you're so wonderful!
10  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: your favorite smoothies... on: May 15, 2007 04:08:44 PM
When I get bored I throw random things in a blender (or bowl, or skillet, or microwave etc etc...) and come up with surprisingly good things. Anyway, seeing I found this thread today and I actually made a smoothie for breakfast....Wholah! I shall tell all my odd concoction!
(nothing exact)
Soy vanilla ice cream OR pina colada (no alcohol-and for some reason they tasted the same)
ice ice baby
blackberries
coffee

smooth till creamy and purple!
yum yum!
