41  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Little Red Riding Hood on: November 03, 2009 10:13:34 AM
This is dd Halloween costume this year.

I made her a black corduroy jumper with red buttons and a cape out of sparkly costume satin.  We finished it off with her sparkly red Converse and a basket for candy.

She was not in the mood to be photographed.

My goodness, do we share brain cells?

My 19 month old dd was Red Riding Hood! I made her a dress we could use again (a black corduroy jumper w/ red buttons here).  I also made her a cape from the simplicity pattern, which confused me.  I made it work, but I'm not sure I did it the way the directions meant for me to.  (I'll post pics in my own thread so as not to hijack yours)

Your Little Red Riding Hood is too cute!  Good job Mama!

I love canning applesauce!

I'm determined to get some done this year.  I've missed the last couple of years in the crazy of having a baby.

I respectfully disagree about Jonathans being the best sauce apples, though they are very good. Wink  My favorite is a small green apple that's ripe in late summer in North Carolina.  I can't remember it's name, but my grandma always used them and I've never tasted anything so good.  They're tart without being acidic and there's just a hint of sweetness.  I'm hoping to find the name next time I visit my grandfather and track some down to make sauce with next summer.

IMO, AIO's aren't all that awesome.  I love my prefolds and covers.

That cover looks great.

When you get a bit more $ check out www.diaperswappers.com for buying used diapers.  You can get some egreat deals there.  There's lots of good info there too.

I love them all, especially that green one!

The pod is one of the few types of carriers I haven't tried.  I need to check them out.

I love it!  I really like the ribbon edging on the tutu and a lollipop is a perfect appliqu for a little girl's birthday shirt.

I copied your dress. I had the pattern already and it got me all excited. before I could even get the buttons on my 23 month old was tugging it out of my hands to put on. You did a great job!! I added the pictures too if you want to check them out Smiley

I am so flattered!  I would love to see pics.  Where would I find them?

I'm jealous!  These past few years I haven't been able to can much at all  (I was pregnant and then I had a baby)  I used to do tons of jam strawberry, blackberry, blueberry.  I am determined to do a fair amount of applesauce this fall.
