1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Kellibeans' Free Embellishments & Printables *UPDATED 03/21 w/Assorted Sliders* on: March 14, 2010 06:08:27 PM

In the spirit of sharing, I'm going to start offering some of my own digitally created/converted/enhanced collage embellishments here in this thread so that those of you who don't have the photoshopping skills to create your own (or are without the funds to buy lots of collage image packs online) can have some free options available to you to enhance and inspire your work.

However, I do have 4 simple rules that I ask you to follow when copying these sheets I am creating especially for YOU, my artistically inclined friends and other unknown persons with creative tendencies.  Therefore, by copying, printing, altering, editing, or otherwise using these images I make available to you free of charge, you agree that:

  • Any images you use will be incorporated into artwork for personal use or in artwork YOU personally create to sell.  (Websites, clip art, and graphics are not included in my definition of "artwork" in these terms)
  • You will not offer any of my digital files for sale as your own. That includes copying, altering or otherwise repackaging them for inclusion in digital DIY scrapbook packs, collage packs & image collections and selling them online or offline.  That's stealing.
  • You will not offer any printed or photocopied versions of any of my images for sale as your own.  That includes copying, altering or otherwise repackaging them for inclusion in DIY scrapbook packs, collage packs & image collections and selling them online or offline.  That's stealing.
  • You will not redistibute any of these images online or offline.    That means no posting my images on your blog freebies collection, digiscrap site or similar online collection with the intent to share with the greater online community without my permission.  An email to
kellibeansimages@gmail.com with your request is quick to do, and there's no point in being scared of asking for permission.  I am definitely cuter and less scary than these rules.

I'm not asking for credit on your work, because it's just that---your work.  But I do love seeing how others are using my work in their own.  If you don't mind posting links to or photos of your creations using my sheets here in this thread (or at least shooting a quick email over to kellibeansimages@gmail.com) I would be overjoyed to see what you have made.

Otherwise, go create some art!  Happy making!
~Kell
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Kellibeans' 2010 ATC Gallery *UPDATED 3/18* on: March 11, 2010 01:28:29 PM
I figured I'd jump in and start putting up cards I make this year in a gallery as well.

There are a ton more that I have already made this year, but those were created especially for sale as ACEOs, so I don't feel right posting those in a trading thread.  If you're interested in seeing the other cards and styles I've been working on, feel free to visit my Etsy shop gallery (link in my sig) and have a peek there.

I am really enjoying this experience of creating my own digital brushes, backgrounds and collages and working them into compositions from things I have collected over the years (in addition to the more "traditional" painting & collaged pieces I've been creating).  It's a wonderful marriage of the old with the new, and I am really enjoying the experimenting.   It's so much more freeing, I think.
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Hannah Hackberry Dotee on: December 15, 2008 08:09:52 AM
Meet Hannah Hackberry, my latest Dotee creation.

Miss Hackberry, a leafy cousin in the Dotee family tree can be found most days lounging in her hammock high in the tree canopy she calls her home.  On the days she does venture out into civilization, she brings her fern frond harp along to charm travellers and street performers out of their "shiny", that being the spare bead or sequin she quickly adds to the growing crown on her head.

Technical, less interesting notes on what made Miss Hackberry are:
5 inches long
2 inches wide
Cotton upcycled fabric scraps
embroidery on felt face
quilted for dimension
wire doodle
various glass, bead, & sequin findings
Glass beaded hanger
Signed on back
P.S.  All hand sewn..lol
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Good Neighbor Placemat Bag on: December 15, 2008 07:26:43 AM
I have a great senior neighbor who fell in love with a woven placemat purse I sewed for my mother, so I am surprising her with one of her own for Christmas.  It's a little...conventional for myself, being neutral in color, but I didn't wanna go all out and gift her some crazy combination that she'd never dare to use.  (But still, she is so spicy she surprises me sometimes!)

Back:

Inside:

The whole bag is made from two placemats that I thought looked well together, and about a yard of brown ribbon for the handles.  It's around 13 inches wide at the bottom, 15 inches at the top and 2 inches deep.

The back has a tulipy flower I cut out of a piece of upholstery fabric used for someone's curtains that I thrifted from the Goodwill, and the more I look at it, it looks lonely.  Lucky thing I haven't wrapped this bag for her yet, because I think I'm gonna add a few more flower friends...LOL
