1  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Paper dolls, did i miss... on: September 06, 2006 09:36:55 PM
I would love to see a paper doll forum. I don't think i've seen anything for this type of craft.
Did i miss it somewhere? Anyone else interested?
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Question about copyrights ... on: November 15, 2004 01:22:07 AM
I was hoping Jenny from SublimeStitcher would be able to help on this since she had some trouble with copyright infringment on her designs just a short time ago. Anyone else who knows the answer to my question is greatly appreciated too.
Warning - I can ramble sometimes, please bear with me.

What I need to know is this, is it copyright infringment to draw something from a movie(example scarlet ohara's dress in "Gone with the wind") & then use your own hand done drawing as a pattern to embroider on something & then sell the item.
I want to use some drawings I've done over the years of dresses from famous movies(Gone with the wind, My fair lady, Gigi, etc.) & stictch them up in redwork & then put them on some purses i've designed, then sell them at local craft fair & such.Wasn't sure if this infringes on the original dress dresigner.Don't want to get in any legal trouble.

Am I being clear enough? Hope so. Anyone know anything that will help me with this?
