1  ABC Fridge Magnets in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Gooberts on: February 12, 2012 12:40:22 AM
After I saw this link:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=401987.0

I rushed out to make mine! The puzzles were a dollar at Goodwill and the letters and the spray paint were from JoAnn. I hard coated mine w/ Modge Podge and hot glued magnets to the back side. These make really good gifts for little kids!

I spray painted the box the puzzle came in and took paper w/ trains on it and cut the trains out in strips. Glued the train strips to the box and then hard coated the box. It made a nice container for the magnet letters! The whole set makes nice gifts for little kids.

I made some animals magnets, too!

she loves them!

4  Oreo Truffles in Dessert by Gooberts on: February 11, 2012 11:28:58 PM

These might be THE BEST little candies ever! Here's the recipe that I followed. I couldn't find the bark- so I used semi sweet baking chips- white and dark. Worked out just fine!

■1 (16 ounce) package Oreo cookies , crushed
■1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese , softened
■1 (24 ounce) package white chocolate bark
■1 (24 ounce) package chocolate bark

Directions:
1. Using a blender or hand held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together.
2. Roll into walnut size balls.
3. Chill for an hour.
4. Melt approximately 3/4 package of white almond bark.
5. Stick a toothpick in an Oreo ball and dip it in the melted white almond bark.
6. Allow to harden on wax paper.
7. Takes about 15 minute.
8. While waiting, melt about 1/4 package of chocolate almond bark.
9. When Oreo balls are no longer sticky to the touch, decorate with drizzles of chocolate and white almond bark.
10. I just use a sandwich bag with a tiny hole cut in one corner to drizzle the almond bark.

I had leftover chocolate so I coated some orange slices! YUM!

7  Origami Crane Mobile in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Gooberts on: January 14, 2012 08:03:53 PM
Finally made up my mind of what I wanted to hang in the corner of my daughter's fun baby room ♥

I strung beads and sequins on invisible thread and tied to the branch. There are also a few single strands of beads for sparkle.

started out w/ a neat looking tree branch from my friend's yard and some red spray paint.

After hanging the mobile- I am thinking it needs more birds and beads!

of course the bird turned his butt towards me when I was trying to snap some photos! Origami Moon  Wink
there are itty bitty birds glued to the branches as well.

Kyrene Middle School put on the play Beauty and the Beast. They only needed a few costumes- Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip Potts and Babette. These turned out amazing - considering they didn't have much of a budget. Enjoy-
