wow.. those are really good!! look pro! how exactly do you freezer paper stencil?i cnat seem to find it right now..and the search engine hates me
lol i just learned myself. pretty much just print or draw a stencible image on the freezer paper (the un-shiny side) cut out your stencil, iron it (shiny side down) to your fabric, stipple fabric paint in layers (depending on desired opaqueness) letting it dry between each layer of paint. and peel off paper and you have super clean edges. It was pretty freakin awesome. I loved it and am sure to be stenciling many many things lol Wink hope that helps!

4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Cheeky monkey & a cyberman on: February 03, 2009 06:00:03 PM
I had a freezer paper stencil date this past weekend with my BFF and these are the shirts I made. My boyfriend requested at Dr. Who inspired stencil of a cyberman and I got the onesie "cheeky monkey" idea from another craftster (who I will TOTALLY credit once I find the post again lol.)

Here's an action shot of the happy boyfriend:

Here is a close up, I used a silver paint and left the final product a bit uneven. Partly because I was impatient, partly because I thought it looked cool:

Here's the onesie:

And an action shot of my cheeky monkey (aka my 8 month old baby girl, Brie):

This is my first attempt with freezer paper stenciling (stenciling period, actually) and I am super stoked at how they turned out. YAY! Grin
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Dr. Pepper ash/trinket tray on: January 26, 2009 08:55:24 AM
I saw a tut on how to make this while stumbling the other night and tried to do it from memory. It came out pretty cool, although I wasn't quite sure how to end it. Guess I should have bookmarked the site. I don't smoke either lol so I gave it to my Mom.

6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / For the love of bacon on: January 26, 2009 08:45:59 AM
I admit it. I am one of the many "secret bacon society" enthusiasts.  lol. OK, ok. I just really love bacon and decided the only logical thing to do was to make some earrings. So far the reactions & compliments have been no less than hilarious. I love them <3
I used Sculpty oven-bake clay in Pearl and Pottery. The pearl color gave the strips a nice shimmer. Cause who doesn't like a shimmery strip of bacon?!
This is before I added the sterling fish hooks:

And here are a few action shots:

Let me know what you think! Grin
