1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Advice on dyeing leather? on: May 05, 2013 04:49:04 PM
In a vain attempt to appear like a fashionable young professional, I made the mistake of buying an ugly tote bag in white leather.  It's real leather, I paid an embarrassing amount for it, and it's too late to give it away/return it.  I've decided to embrace my choice, and add a little adventure to my life by trying to dye it a nice chocolate brown.  I need advice because I don't want to throw away more cash making more mistakes.

This is the purse (description is accurate):

I want to make it match my favorite purchase (this shiny, chocolate brown color): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Julia-Chocolate-Patent-leather-Zippy-Wallet-w-detachable-strap-46726-NWT-/350782217836

Any advice (what to use; leave it to a professional, etc) will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Inspired Watercolour on: May 16, 2009 02:00:39 PM
I was really impressed with weighanchor's watercolours, and after she posted her amazing tutorial, I thought I would be adventurous and give it a go.  I got a little too excited when the paint was dry and just started pulling off the masking fluid, which unfortunately torn the paper.  Also, I accidentally made some paint smudges.

This is my first try, but I am pleased and hope to do this again soon. Smiley

*Edit: renamed for clarification's sake*
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Pink Cupcake Photo Shoot on: April 20, 2009 12:57:02 PM
I was just playing around with the camera taking pictures of homemade cupcakes.  I am just really proud of how the pictures came out. Tongue

My favorite.

This looks so much better when it isn't stretched out...but I can't figure out how to rotate it.

All three.

Please forgive me if I made any mistakes, this is my first time posting my stuff.
