1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: **Three Tiny Movie Things** (Sign Ups 11/30 - 12/15) [Send Out by 1/15] on: December 10, 2010 11:17:39 PM
Undecided OMG... I'm so stressed over this! I saw the name of the swap and wanted to join right away. Then I decided to read the entire thread (all 15 pages since I JUST found this swap tonight!) and now I am very much on the fence.
I am a big movie buff... or so I thought until I started reading some of the titles of films on peoples lists. Some I have never even heard of! And... I am a HUGE scaredy cat when it comes to movies. Tarantino, shoot-'em-up stuff is great, but no zombies or other horror types for me thanks. My hubby works out of town for a few weeks at a time so with just me & the kid & the dog home alone in the boonies where we live... horror just doesn't do it for me! So I am afraid I would get a zombie filled list and not be able to watch any of the movies.  Cry (Although I did watch some when I was younger and not so afraid of being killed in my sleep, so I have seen the Lost Boys and Nightmare on Elms Street types. And almost any movie based on Stephen King novels I have seen. Odd that I was once obsessed with that evil genius and now the thought of a horror film is too much for me....)

Oh, what to do, what to do??? Plus, although I can almost guarantee the folks listing the films from the film history classes would be bored stiff by my choices, I don't know if I can narrow it down to only 5. So difficult... deadline for sign-ups looming.... what to do...

Ok, so let me say that I LOVE chick flicks, but also have an obsession with true story movies and history based films (even a few documentaries), but a good comedy is right up there also. I can say without a doubt that one film that would be on my list if I did sign up is "Pride and Prejudice" (the new version with Kiera Knightly.)

So... let me think about it for a day... what do you all think?

Ok, so I actually received from Green r my tears the day before Thanksgiving but we had a lot going on with that and the day after was my sons birthday so I am finally getting around to posting pics of my wonderful package! She sent me so wonderful items: 6 placemats, a reuseable shopping bag, a special blanket for my son (she knew his birthday was this month), a purse for me, an ornament, a pot holder, and some cloth napkins! Whew... it was a lot!! Here's some pics:

A shot of everything.

The blanket for my son - she even put his name on it. (Although it's hard to see it in the picture.)

My favorite thing... a beautiful paisley purse with lots of great pockets inside!

My new placemats and hand towel.

Thank you sooooo much Green R My Tears! I love everything and I feel so spoiled!

I am finished and will be sending out in the next day or so - just depends on when I have the time to make it to our always-a-crazy-long-line-post office! I swear no matter what time of year it takes about an hour at the very least at our post office. (If my hubby gets the printer working again I will be able to just do it online which would make me much happier!)  I will get it out before the 20th either way, no problem.  Smiley

I am almost done as well - just need to tweak a few little things to get it just right. Hoping to finish up while my son is at school tomorrow.

Just checking in... still here. Still crafting. Halloween took over our lives for a bit there but now that it is done, I think I will be able to finish things up pretty quickly.

I received from aethelberga yesterday and I have to say that it just made me laugh and I love it! She chose the Tudors from my choices.
So here she is - Anne Boleyn before and after losing her head!

Thanks so much aethelberga - she just makes me giggle every time I look at her. Thanks for swapping with me and for hosting this one!! Smiley

I finally have all the supplies for my medium but I did at least get a small done before my husband wisked me away for a little getaway to a hotel and a spa. So nice!

Now that we are back, I plan to get rolling on the rest of these.
