21  Re: OTSTT - One Tiny Star Trek Things Swap - Sendouts 5/1 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Super-Ted_Cullen! on: April 18, 2010 12:25:52 PM
Here's that Combadge image I promised, I finally managed to get my Camera connecting to the PC. This was not my swap item, just something I made for school. Smiley

It is made from two pieces of Acrylic, shaped then superglued together and covered with a flexible metal adhesive roll. I'm also going to be making a TNG tricorder and TOS Wrath of Khan Phaser. Which will be very useful in the future, I'm sure.

22  How would one go about sewing sweet wrappers? in What the heck can I do with THIS? by Super-Ted_Cullen! on: March 07, 2010 02:09:44 PM
I can see that it has been done, and so I ask; how did you not rip the wrappers? Surely that would have happened to some extent during the make. Can you give me any advice for making things with them?

Specifically I would like to make my mum a hat (or anything else! I'm open to suggestions) out of Fry's Turkish delight wrappers which look like this;

They are quite thick for sweet wrappers, but still flimsy in comparison with fabric.

Thank you,

23  Re: Longing for New Moon: from Forks to Italy and back in The Swap Gallery by Super-Ted_Cullen! on: September 14, 2009 11:44:33 AM
I had to go and buy a new phone lead to get these pics up. I know you've seen some of them already from attackofthequacks but I wanted to show you them myself. Cheesy
Here goes:

The box as I recieved it from the post office. I nearly didn't get this pic, I was so excited.

The first item I opened (before I got home) An adorable knitted purse. I use it to hold my electronic stuff. I may have said that before

In random order I opened: Four awesome bookmarks with my favourite quotes on. All (but one) are being used right now. The forth was being used until I finished Kaleb Nation's new book. Cheesy

This fabulous CD case! It is pretty awesome and holds all of my favourite CD's. The Apple applique is amazing

Alice Cullen Quote tote! I love this sooooooooooo much. I was using it everyday until school started. I would still be using it, only I don't want it to get ruined.

Two T-shirts, one saying "Twilight" Which is awesomely stencilled, I think, and an iron on transfer with my all-time favourite quote on; "Fall down again, Bella?"
-Sorry that it's wonky. Cheesy

A fantastic hoody! I wore this to school and got a tonne of compliments. It's gorgeous! And almost sparkly; awesome. Cheesy

A little Emmett trinket box filled with some beautiful jewellery and a keyring:

And finally, one of my favourite items, this awesome pillow-case! As soon as I opened it, I ran upstairs and switched it for one I made when I was nine. If I can find a pic, I'll show you. Smiley

Thank you so, so much attackofthequacks! You were an amazing swap partner and I'll be insanely jealous of anyone else who gets you as a partner.   Grin

24  Re: Post Secret 9 (Send-Outs 7/10) in The Swap Gallery by Super-Ted_Cullen! on: July 31, 2009 04:41:26 PM
Last, but most certainly not least:

"My friends would think bad of me if I would tell them I read it.
However, I must confess:
Twilight makes my day!
I haven't laughed so much in a long time!"

(In case you can't tell from the picture, the background is an apple and stencilled on is an image of the two main characters, Edward and Bella. Believe me; that is hard to cut out. Cheesy)

"I could have been born anyplace, anywhere, anytime

The four sections, colour co-ordinated:
"Peace, flowers, freedom, happiness and love"
"Airship pirate?"
"Any fantasty world?"
"The Middle ages?"

"Yes, I believe in fairytales!"

The Second.

"I gave you away five years ago because I wanted a cat.

I still miss you."

"I gave them to an old lady. I know she takes good care of them but my heart still aches a little every time I see lovebirds."

I have recieved 3, thus far. Here is the first:

"I wish I was a stripper or a Pole dancer

I have severe eczema. If I had done one of these jobs, I would know that my skin wasn't so disgusting that people would look at me sexually."

*Sends love and hugs to everyone out there*
Handsy, I don't really know what to say as I've never been through anything similar, but remember; we're here for you. Cheesy And I have a love/ hate relationship with stencilling. I've only ever done it once (the bag I made in Round 7) and I loved cutting it, despite the fact it took so long. I'm weird like that.

Anyway, Cake! The pictures aren't brilliant, but I hope you like the look of the cake I made for my b'day. I had an element for all the books. Can you find them? It's not hard Here goes;

Full cake image

Sorta side view The sticker on the apple is a real sticker that came on apples I got at the twilight movie press release last year. They were from washington!

The rose that was the New Moon element. I liberally decorated it with icing sugar to make it look white. It didn't really work

So, what d'ya think?

30  Re: Twilight Rd 7 - GALLERY!! in The Swap Gallery by Super-Ted_Cullen! on: June 01, 2009 01:06:46 PM
I had the best day today! Really, honestly the best day of my life. Exept for my birth, of course. Wink You guessed it, I recieved from my amazing partner, ehinders. Believe me, if it wasn't for the enormous airfair to America and the thousands of miles separating us I would definitely be jumbping up and down hugging her right now. She's my new favourite person and I am convinced she is related to Alice Cullen

I got home from a really important maths test today, only to get home at 9.30 am (study leave, got to love it!) and find a little letter on the doorstep. A parcel arrived at 9:10, 20 minutes earlier, and it was taken to the depot. I told my mum who went to go collect it at about 3pm and spent hours out and when she got home she just tried to convince me (poorly) that it wasn't for me. But she caved! And I got it. Cheesy

I was having a really hard time getting it open cause my hands were shaking with excitement and my sister Tamsin eventually got fed up and tried to steal it. Cheesy

The first thing I saw was an adorable little card with cherries on it (I am obsessed with cherries, point one for Alice/ehinders!) which I opened up, started reading and threw down screaming when it started telling me what was inside. Tamsin of course picked it up, read it and started getting really excited whilst I ripped through the bubblewrap, popping quite a few in the process, Only to find this amazing photoframe with Emmett inside and an apple on front. Smiley It's amazing and now sits on my dresser, for lack of a better word.

Next up is one of the little wooden apples I'd been admiring on her etsy, covered in quotes, including my favourite. Smiley

And I believe this is where I started hyperventilating. She. Made. Me. Shoes!!! I am still in shock. I cannot get over their beauty And, this is where she again seems psychic, they are the most perfect fit ever. I can never find shoes that fit and these fit better than a glove. Most of the time I cant even tell theyre there! I have lots of action shot, hang on

Underneath the shoes, I found an awesome Twilight tee which fits amazingly well and looks really nice on. Its also really comfy; I havent taken it off yet. Cheesy

Digging deeper I found two boxes, one which was handmade and really nice and one that was for jewellery. I first looked in the handmade box and my mouth made a squeal that would have done Alice proud. Inside I found a Bellas bracelet and Alices choker, both of which were straight from my wists! (By the way, forgive me if the Choker pics are a bit rubbish, when my sister took them she didnt tell me Id managed to put it on the wrong way around and I had to take them again myself.)

Inside the second box I found a really nice Be Safe necklace that was made with microscope slides, something that immediately made me think of Biology and therefore Twilight. Cheesy And, if I ever take it off, it fits on the front of the photoframe! How cool is that?

Thank you ehinders, you have been so amazing! I love you and the stuff, youve made this swap a truly unforgettable experience.I couldn't have dreamed of better stuff (and believe me, I know, I've dreamt several times about this swap. Smiley) Im going to wear as much of my stuff as possible tomorrow in my other exams, although I may just not take it off If you have any better pics and want to put them up thatd be cool. Cheesy
By the way the final Alice Cullen-like thing shes done; EHINDERS LOOK AWAY NOW!!!

Some of the stuff is kinda similar Great mind think alike, eh?
Thanks everyone, especially ehinders, rira and boo_zombie for helping me through this. Cheesy
Awating round 8!
