1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Luna from Sailor Moon (First project) on: January 08, 2015 07:11:38 AM
I heard about needle felting years ago, but I never really got into it. Wool is too expensive for me to justify the purchase on a limited budget, but it always hung around in the back of my mind as something I'd like to try. Recently, I found a tutorial on how to turn acrylic yarn into 'roving', and since I crochet quite a bit, I have a lot of yarn and yarn scraps that I can use, and I can make whatever color I need right then and there!

Other than a tiny little test ball, this is my first project. Luna, from Sailor Moon. I made it for my sister for Christmas and she loved it.  Smiley

2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: One Tiny Supernatural Thing Swap - Valentines Day Edition : Gallery on: January 28, 2011 08:48:53 AM
I'm so glad you liked it! It was a blast making him (but so, so hard to let him go!). The worst part was the hair! I tried about five different ways to make it and finally just settled with crocheting chains and then gluing them on in spirals and zig-zag patterns on his head. My mom was in love with him and kept trying to convince me to keep him and make something else...  Cheesy Cheesy

This swap was great! I love what everyone else got too!

I just got my package from lylacfey! It is a little Castiel necklace with a key on it. I was wearing it around all day! Thanks for being a great partner!  Grin

Sorry the picture is a little washed out. I took, like, fifteen pictures, but this was the best one. I'm going to say it is just because Cas didn't want anyone to see his true visage...
4  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: One Tiny Supernatural Swap - Valentines Day Edition (SU CLOSED SO 01/24) on: January 23, 2011 10:52:16 AM
I'll be sending out tomorrow! I had everything ready for a Valentine card, but my goshdarn printer isn't working! I am bummed, as I had a really funny idea for one.  Angry

However, my item is getting the last touch today and it'll be sent out tomorrow afternoon! Cheesy

Uhg, I've been working night shift for the past week. X__X I am dead on my feet. However, I'll have my item done on time!  Cheesy

There are some moments of Season 6 that I like, but overall, I am not really into it. Personally, I think the way Season 5 ended was absolutely perfect. It cliffhanged, but it was a pretty awesome ending. Season 6 seems far too forced, and I would of rather had the suspense of wondering rather than the underwhelming explanations.

Though without giving anything away, that episode with just Bobby was one of my favorites ever. Brilliantly done, and one that Jensen Ackles directed. Heck, start letting him direct the entire Season 6. He seems to have a much better understanding of what works.

Uhg. I'm going to be working night shift for the next few weeks, so I'll be missing the new episodes when they air. Thank god for the Internet! Grin

As for the swap item, My little hiccup has passed, and I have discovered how to do what it is I need to. Woohoo!

I also got Sam.  Smiley

About halfway done with my item. Figuring out how to do one part of it isn't going as well as I would like, but I will get there soon!

Started mine the other day and it is looking great! With the medium I'm doing, it is always a bit hard to get it the right size, but it appears to be going well thus far! Hopefully it'll stay that way with when I get the details on it.

Having my own Supernatural marathon helps the creative juices flow, definitely.

I know exactly what I'm going to make, from the Item to the Valentines Day Card! I can't wait! This'll be an awesome swap!
