I got my package from RevolutionaryGirl and am in love with EVERYTHING! Prepare to be blown away with what I got! I am soooo thrilled! Cheesy

First off was Dr. Crane's Arkham Asylum issued shirt. I had difficulty getting pictures of it, the orange reflected the flash!  Cheesy
Front:

Back:

Then there were these Laughing Fish earrings, which made me laugh and promptly put them on! They are adorable! But they just WOULD NOT photograph well. They are amazingly cute!

And finally, I noticed that there was a very large stuffed Hyena in the box! I pulled Bud or Lou out and hugged him excitedly, squealing in a way that would do Harley Quinn proud. And while huggling it with enthusiasm, I notice not ONE Hyena plushie... BUT TWO! I didn't get Bud OR Lou, I got Bud AND Lou! *Insert screams of amazement!*

I also got some Scarecrow magnets, but those WOULD NOT photograph well at all! :/

THANK YOU, RevolutionaryGirl! I loved the package and everything! If you got better pictures of the crafts, feel free to post them. My camera is being an ass lately.

Oh! I also took some pictures of my in Harley Costume posing with my 'Babies'.  Wink

I've seen Batman: The Brave and the Bold a few times. Man, I was extremely cheesy, and Joker definitely looks like his old comic book self. Put honestly, he looks so nonthreatening that it is almost too ridiculous to watch.

Not to mention I think of this every time I see that Joker design:::

14  Transformers Transformed my Wallet. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Alexandra-the-Great on: August 29, 2009 04:01:25 AM
So, I had an old Pirates of the Caribbean wallet from years and years ago that was hideously pink and said "I Love Jack" on it, with a pinkish picture of Jack Sparrow. At the time, in my young age of 13-years-old, I loved it. I carried around that wallet for years, though I was getting more and more embarrassed about taking it out to pay for something as I got older. Finally, I retired it in favor of getting a Nightmare Before Christmas one, which I am still using and I adore.

However, the Jack wallet was just sitting around on my desk for ages, collecting dust. Yesterday, I found it and realized it had a lot of potential. I mean, other than the awful design on the front of the wallet, it was a normal plain black one.

SO! I took my seam ripper and scissors and hacked the entire top/back (the peice that goes around both the front and back of it) of the wallet off . Then I covered that in black fabric. Deciding that I wanted a fun Transformers wallet (my car is Transformers themed and is also named Prowl...), I stenciled the logo of both the Autobots and the Decepticons on the front and back. Unfortunately, when I was painting, the stencil came unstuck and I was forced to do some really heavy touch ups with a black permanent marker.

Despite that little annoyance, I am extremely thrilled with my new wallet! It is something I can be proud of when pulling out to pay for something and I always enjoy something I made myself rather than something I bought. And I reused something that was shameful and fangirly to something awesome and geeky.

Thanks for looking!

17  Harley Quinn Hoodie! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Alexandra-the-Great on: July 09, 2009 01:49:57 PM
I am a huuuuge Batman geek. I love everything about him... and his villains. Being a born and raised child of the 90's, I grew up watching Batman: The Animated Series. Always my two favorite villains have been The Joker and Harley Quinn, simply because they are so absolutely twisted!

Harley Quinn is possibly my most favorite female character. She is twisted, mad, violent, and completely crazy... however, she is also extremely pathetic, heartsick, and a romantic. I adore her.  Roll Eyes

So, what better way to show my love of Batman than parade around in fantastic Harley Quinn hoodie?!

It is my first hoodie ever made. The fabric is a heavy knit that seems to be used in most hoodies, and it is really comfy and stretchy. No patterns were used. I winged the entire thing. The hardest part, in my opinion, was sewing the shape for the liliripes. It was difficult not to make them too fat, too wide, too long, too etc. I kept having to redo them and stuff them and redo them. I am not at all patient, so I was getting extremely frusterated with that.

Oh, and the fact that I had messed up the color patterns a bit.  Instead of having the top right be all black, and the left be all red, I had the front bit black and red, and the back red and black. Thus the sleeve would have been attached to two different colors. So it took a bit of seam ripping and some heavy cussing to fix that.  Roll Eyes

Anyways, I hope you like it!

And here is a little costume-photo session I did in my hoodie, some pleather pants, and Harley makeup::

(I adore my Bang Flag...)

An AMAZING Pirate-fish wall hanging, which has 'Pastafarian' in wire at the top! It is already up on my wall!

A FSM necklace, which is MUCH better than my failed attempt at making one.  Cheesy

Thank you so, so much, VeganPickles! I absolutely loved the package!

19  Watchmen Plushies pt. 1: Rorschach, The Comedian, Nite Owl II in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Alexandra-the-Great on: May 18, 2009 06:04:11 AM
So, I am a die-hard Watchmen fan, having read the book last December and completely falling in love with it. I even dressed up for the opening night of the movie as Rorschach.  Roll Eyes But that is another story...

Anyways, being the complete and utter geek I am, I had to make my own plushies. Someday soon, when I get better at making them, I am going to start selling on Etsy. Until then, I am making for my own joy...

First, we have Rorschach, everyone's favorite sociopath-vigilante!  His body, hat, boots, and coat are made from felt, , his pants and gloves made from some scrap purple fabric, and his mask is made from a stretchy t-shirt like knit that I used for my own Rorschach mask. Works like a charm. I really struggled with his fedora. I need to work on that a lot more. I even added the missing buttons and ruined straps on his coat, but the little painted buttons didn't really show up in the pictures.

Next we have the amoral and yet completely lovable Comedian, who was the first of the Watchmen I made. He was also, I think, the hardest. His body, clothes, boots, armbands, and hair are made of felt, and his body armor, smiley-face button, guns, mask, and cigar are made of craft foam. This was the first time I attempted to make felt hair, and it was such a pain in the ass that I shall stick with using yarn. But I am still proud of him, none the less. And yes, the cigar does stick out of his mouth.  Roll Eyes

Finally, we have Rorschach's partner, the adorable pudgy Nite Owl II! His body, suit, boots, gloves and cowl are made from felt, his belt is made from gold ribbon, his half-moon belt buckle is from craft foam, and his goggles are from old cloth covered buttons that I painted over. It was fun making him, but a bit time consuming, since I had to draw on all the little triangles on his cape and cowl. I even stuffed his suit, so he would be extra round in the middle.

Thanks for looking, look out for Watchmen Plushies Part 2: Ozymandias, Dr. Manhattan, and Silk Spectre II.

20  Female Star Trek Uniform in Costumes: Completed Projects by Alexandra-the-Great on: April 02, 2009 06:42:02 PM
So, I am a HUGE Trekkie, but alas, only of the Original Series. To me, James T. Kirk will always be my Star Ship Captain.  Roll Eyes I am insanely excited for the upcoming movie, and I decided that since I will be going to the midnight premier, I needed something that showed my complete love for Trek. And thus, I came up with my uniform. I make everything (except the shoes and nylons, of course), including the patch.

Now all I need to do is get both a Phaser and Communicator, and...practice... my...Captain....Kirk...voice...

Enjoy! And Live Long and Prosper!  Cheesy

A TRIBBLE!  Roll Eyes
