3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / perfume? on: September 18, 2011 06:29:47 AM
has anyone tried making perfume? can you use fragrance oils instead of essential oils? (because they have fragrance oils at walmart for $2 so while i'm learning i'd like to do it cheap till i get the hang of it)  is it less complicated and time consuming to make the roll on perfume or hard perfume balm things?

i was inspired to see if i can make my own when i sampled perfumes at anthropologie. omfg they are the best!!! i HAVE to learn.

also other resourses that ive read wich seemed a little complicated said you have to mix the notes in a certain order. what if you didnt? would it really make a difference? i mean it all gets mixed together anyway. also can you make a perfume out of one or 2 scents?

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / help with shapes? on: July 13, 2011 01:39:09 PM
ok this is more of a crochet/knitting question. i'm posting in a couple places (sorry if i'm breaking a rule?) anyway

i want to know how to make a couple things from this shop called Wool and the Gang

this: http://www.woolandthegang.com/en/articles/view/334

and

this: http://www.woolandthegang.com/en/articles/view/337

they do not have to be exact at alll but if you have any insight to what the general shape/structure may look like it would help

they have so many nice things!!! but i could never afford them

http://www.woolandthegang.com/en/articles/view/394

thank you for any help at all!

7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / smallish leather scraps on: May 16, 2011 07:15:23 AM
i bought one of those bags at Michael's of leather remnants. cuz i saw these these cuffs i wanted to make. BUT i didnt know you cant just sew through suede laether like fabric (idk what i was thinking. lol.) anyway, not really into cuffs anymore. and i don't want to wreck my quilt n craft sewing machine. i'm left with a hammer and nails to make holes.

any ideas on what the heck to do with them? theres beige color and black and brown.

i wanted to maybe make some shoes/sandals. what do you think about glueing a couple pieces together to make a soul? would it hold up?

and how do you get the hard wrinkles out?
