1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Repurposed glass door into stained glass on: August 23, 2015 01:32:51 PM
So I've had this glass door hanging around my house for a while now, waiting for it to tell me what it wanted to be.
This weekend it decided.   Cheesy
I used glass paint and created something to hang in our kitchen window.   Fun fact....the moon, pumpkin, spider web is a tattoo I have on the back of my neck, drawn for me by my husband.  Smiley
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Encased lace and 3D roses...oh my! on: February 01, 2014 01:22:25 AM
My own nails are always so long, and over the top design wise.  My philosophy.... the longer the better, the more room for art. Lol
So this was my first go with the stiletto shape.  Thought I would hate it, but no, I loved them!  I tried my hand at encasing pieces of lace inside of the acrylic.  It worked brilliantly.  Then, I added a 3D rose and glitter... because a girl can never have too much glitter.   Grin
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Beetlejuice...beetlejuice.....and sandworm nail art! on: February 01, 2014 01:15:49 AM
A super fun set of nails to paint.  A gel polish base with acrylic paint for the design.
4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Dr. Who....ooooweeeeooooooo.... on: February 01, 2014 01:10:21 AM
My daughter is a huge Dr. Who fan (ok... so am I ) but in this case, were talking about her.  Lol. She wanted a Dr. themed set of nails.  I really loved putting these together for her.  Smiley  They are done in gel polish, and acrylic paints and glitter.  The red one is a dalek, I just couldn't get it to photograph.

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Stuffy unicorn head... on: February 01, 2014 12:22:59 AM
I'm just not sure where to put this.  Lol. I made this for my best friend for Christmas.  Its a quilted, stuffed and mounted unicorn head.   Grin. She named her Mardi and she hangs in her bedroom and wears all of her Mardi gras beads and feathers.
I made up the pattern for this as I couldn't find a "severed unicorn head" pattern anywhere.  Lol. I think next on my list is going to be a dragon head.   Grin
6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Sleeping baby dragon. on: February 01, 2014 12:13:58 AM
I made myself a tiny gold sleeping baby dragon some time ago, and my sons fiance has always tried to talk me out of it lol.... so I made her one of her own for Christmas.  I had such a hard time packing him up and sending him away...I really loved him.  But she loves him too.  He's made from polymer clay with sequin scales.  Hes sleeping inside a snow globe to keep him safe from my grandson.

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Revamped an old clock into something fabulous! on: December 10, 2013 11:27:50 PM
I have been spending way too much time at the local thrift stores.  I have become obsessed with finding crappy things that I can bring home and make fabulous.  So, my most recent find was this:

It was missing the clock face and two of the wooden rays.  I knew for the low low price of 3.99 I could make it better!

So, THIS is what it became!!  I absolutely LOVE it!!  It was repainted with acrylic paints an sealed with Mod Podge.  I took apart an old clock we had laying around for the clock guts. (the body of the old clock was used for a day of the dead shrine that I'll post later).

8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Fancy handpainted gel polish manicure. on: December 10, 2013 11:20:05 PM
I have been working on nail art over gel manicures. This one is done with a very small brush and a variety of Gelish colors.  The black outline is acrylic paint.  Then the whole design is topped off with Gelish Top It Off.

9  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Tiny glass beads...Pumpkin, bee, and some popcorn on: May 07, 2012 08:48:56 PM
A few more beads I've made for the craft fair.  Things are coming along quite nicely!   Grin

I'm working on a Hothead torch and MAPP gas.
10  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Raise a tiny glass and have a tiny toast. Lampwork bead on: May 07, 2012 01:39:45 PM
Ok....I gotta say, I am pretty proud of this particular bead.   Grin  My husband and I are putting together a whole lot of crafted items for a craft fair.  It's mostly stuff he makes, but I said I'd make some earrings and pendants for him to bulk up his inventory.
As per my usual, when I'm making a bead, my head is usually about two or three beads ahead of what I'm working on.  *L*  I was working on encasing something in clear and wondered to myself, "self, I wonder if you could make a little rootbeer float or a little beer mug?"

So, here it is.  I haven't cleaned out the release yet, and I still have to make it's little mate for it to be a matched set for earrings, but I couldn't wait to share.   Grin
