71  And even MORE nail art....sort of picture chubby! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by ShannonMB on: March 11, 2010 07:42:47 PM
Some more nail art pictures...you'll notice almost every set has some sort of glitter...cause I love me some glitter.  *L*

My daughter's nails....desperately in need of a fill *L*

An attempt at fire (these are my nails)

A little pink, black and white plaid.  I had a french manicure but decided it was too plain...so out came the paints.

A little '50's retro (these are some of my favorites)

I did these for christmas....it's hard to tell but they're blue.

Outerspace....I do these often since they're another of my favorites.

My daughter went to opening night of Twilight (this was before she started wearing acrylics)

Some halloween types.

72  My first attempt at a wire wrap ring in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by ShannonMB on: March 06, 2010 06:43:55 PM
So I've been wanting to learn how to make some wire rings...I think they're so coooool.....so I jumped in with both feet and made myself a spiral ring from sterling silver wire.

And now I'm hooked and will be making lots lots more!

Here is the glass heart bead ring.  (lampworking and wire wrapping work so well together)

(sorry for the fuzzy pics....couldn't find the camera so had to use my cell phone)

73  lots of nail art! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by ShannonMB on: March 06, 2010 06:37:52 PM
I started doing my nails years ago....I'm not trained in any way.  I just wasn't willing to pay that much money for something I was pretty sure I could do myself (acrylic and nail art) and I kinda like the very long, very bright, very "interesting" nails. *L*

So I thought I'd share just a few pictures:

Zebra print

Lace (to match my daughters tolo dress)

A bit of halloween frankenstein

I have tons and tons more...I'll have to dig out some more pictures if anyone is interested!!

74  Itty Bitty Fairy Bead in CHALLENGE 48 ENTRIES by ShannonMB on: March 05, 2010 11:36:31 AM
I was making beads for a charm bracelet and made this tiny fairy out of polymer clay.  She's about 3/4 of an inch tall.  Sadly, I gave her away, so I don't have any "in process" pics, or measurement pics.

75  Re: Show Off Your Hair! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by ShannonMB on: March 04, 2010 07:40:01 PM
Ok....I can't resist showing my hair.....I am a 38 year old legal secretary in a very small town (about 5000 folks)....my kids think it's cool that I'm willing to dye my hair crazy colors!  I've done blue, purple, bright red, but the hot pink is my absolute favorite!!

76  a touch of the '40's with a dash of pirate print and a spritz of leopard in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects by ShannonMB on: February 27, 2010 09:16:15 PM
Ok, so I love the fashions of the 1940's.  I wear my hair in victory rolls, and I pour over vintage clothing books and websites.  Sometimes I swing towards the rockabilly/psychobilly route....so that being said, I made a new dress this weekend (with, of course, a whole lot of modification).  I was going for the early '40's day dress:

The pictures don't do it justice...it looks washed out and blah.  But take my word for it, it's fabulous.  There are a few finishing touches (such as shoulder pads and leopard fabric covered buttons down the front)
The fabric looks floral from a distance, but it's pirate themed:

I love it I love it.  Grin  Once all the buttons are on I will post pictures of it actual on!

77  Re: Loaded Charm Bracelet Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by ShannonMB on: February 22, 2010 10:35:15 PM
I got my package from ChristinaCoghill today.....I LOVE IT!!!

First, all the goodies...my bracelet, an earring and necklace set, and a cute little lip gloss:

I got a necklace and matching earrings that I do believe are made from friendly plastic (love them and will be wearing them to work tomorrow):

And now....my fabulous bracelet.  It is so perfectly me.  Love the color, love the charms (especially the Jack Skellington and the sock monkey)

I just love it, and it fits perfectly....thanks so much.  I'm wearing it now and will be wearing it to work tomorrow.

78  My new purse! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ShannonMB on: February 20, 2010 11:58:43 AM
So, I went purse shopping, and since I live in a small town with limited places to shop I found nothing I loved...I am loving bright colors and animal prints...so, I opted to make it instead.

So, I used this pattern:

of course, it's in my nature to modify things!!  So I lined it and added pockets..

then I found this snappy placemat on sale at the local Wal-Mart that I used to make the straps.  I also decided to make the base and the sides out of the placemat as well since I tend to set my purse down where ever I am.  *L*

It's not quite finished.  I ordered a clasp that I will attach to a small strap to keep it closed.  And I also had to order some feet for the bottom and some snaps for the side, as well as a snappy little leopard spot heart-shaped applique for the front.  Oh, the joy of living in a small town....can't just run to the store to buy the hardware you need for a project.  *L*

(please disregard the messy craft room  Grin It takes making a huge mess to make something fabulous!!)

79  Oh look....Salad Fingers in Shoes: Completed Projects by ShannonMB on: February 06, 2010 09:23:56 AM
Ok, so he's truly creepy but my friend and I kinda like him.  So for her birthday I painted her this pair of shoes.  I'm kind of sad to give them away, but that's the best kind of gift to give....the kind you would like to have for yourself.

80  Ami Cthulhu in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by ShannonMB on: February 06, 2010 09:20:26 AM
ok, I know it's been done, but not by me.  I made this for my husband for Valentines day (he's kind of a nerd *L*).  I found the pattern online and as soon as I can find the link again I will add it here for the credit due her.

without further ado......the mighty Cthulhu (ships courtesy of my husbands Pirates game)

Exactly correct...thanks Kirsa for finding the link for me.  Here's where I got the pattern
