1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Upcycled Scottie on: September 30, 2010 03:36:51 PM
Recently for the Buy Nothing Swap I made this Scottie Dog pillow based of the one on my partners wists. I used mostly recycled fabrics for the patchwork, denim from some old jeans for the back, and new fabric and ribbon for the edging and the bow.

Front shot.

Back view.

Today I started searching my stash for green fabrics to make a frog pillow in the same style.

Thanks for looking.
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Frog swap anyone??? on: August 28, 2010 08:08:28 AM
We haven't had a frogg swap for a while. I'm pretty sure it's been about a year. Would anyone be interested in doing another round?

There had been some mention of doing a sweat shop style swap.
3  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Pin-ups on: May 18, 2010 03:13:28 PM
I recently made these for a swap. Crafty_one does scrapbooking, and has a thing for little birds. The larger one is made with some sportweight acrylic and some fine ribbon yarn (I can't remember what brand.)  The pink and blue ones were made with sz. 10 crochet cotton.

I have a hardcover book and the book has fallen off the spine completely. What type of glue should I use to put it back together?? It needs to still be readable, It really is one of my favorites.
5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / polyester double-knit help!! on: January 04, 2009 07:08:12 AM
I have inherited about 30 yards of polyester fabric from my grandma. It's all in 2-3 pieces in a rainbow of colors and prints. Think late 60's early 70's. i'm not thinking i want to make clothing from them, maybe some shorts or hot pants, but need help for some ideas.
