21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Crochet Granny's Daughters Swap R8- New ideas... on: May 15, 2011 06:43:20 AM
1. I have had swapped grannies fall apart on me. I have also had swapped grannies made incorrectly, with 2 or 4 dc per side, and not enough ending tail to fix. I would much rather weave in my own tails.
2. I agree crocheting over the starting tail works best.
3.I tend to make double the "required" grannies to keep for myself, so upping the ante wouldn't be a problem.
4. I use a ton of variegated yarn, and the matching solids. Adding the option would be a great idea.

froggmomma, I think it was I Love This Yarn, but I don't see the colorway anymore either.  I don't think I have it anymore at home, I have been cleaning out my yarn.

Yeah I think the superhero-ie ones I sent OnePinkHippo are Red Heart though. The I Love This Yarn ones have white in them along with the primary colors.

Yea! Superhero Grannies!!! I was going to add a link to the yarn for those not in the know, but it is no longer on Hobby Lobby's website Cry Cry My skein is missing the label so I can't even tell you the real name of the yarn.
After I sent out the superhero grannies a few rounds ago, I haven't been able to make anything else with it. lol.

Holding off is fine by me. My fiance and I are heading out of town for the weekend for a little baby-moon, so I wouldn't get my partner until then anyway.

I just wanted to pop in and say hello to all. I haven't swapped for a few months, so I'm going to ease my way back in with you lovely ladies.

Very interesting convos going on here. lol I would normally volunteer to gladly accept all the pink GD's, but I'm preggers with a baby boy. I've decided to make him a blankie with my GD's.

I have the whole rainbow of colors, and lots of varigated, if anyone has any special requests.

Happy crocheting.

I received an amazing package yesterday from redstar13. She spoiled me so-so much.

A Union Jack Heart Ornament/ Door Hanger.

Awesome ornaments for our tree. I love personalized ornaments. There's one for each of us, my son, my fiance, and myself.

I love my Buckeyes!! Hairbows. The two on the right are bobby pins and the other is a barrette.

My second favorite. I LOVE aprons. The color looks wonky, but it's pink with black, and reversible.

My Favorite!!! BLOOMERS!!!! Smiley

Thanks redstar for everything!!![/color]
