Every year I say I'm going to join, and...um... I don't. I'm not going to wait until Next January. I'm gonna jump in now. Rainbows and animals here I come.

Slimy Scrubbies will be the name of my rock band if I ever have one. Chances or slim to none that I'll ever have a rock band. I'm too busy knitting to form one.

LMAO! That just made my morning. I've never made an acrylic cloth or scrubbie, but the Leisure Arts Tawashi book I just got uses RHSS for most of the patterns. Hmmm... It does say that in Japan they have a anti bacterial yarn though.

What are the typical sizes for cloths?

I've made two already: one is 7x11" and the other is 7x7".

The one pattern I use often ( for myself) generally comes out about 7"x7".
My mum likes larger dishcloths. The pattern I make for her is closer to a 10"x10".
So I would say you're in the average range Wink

What pretty colors! That would make a great addition to any craft room.

I just think all these yarn weaths that are popping up all over are awesome! Love the felt flowers!

I was wondering if anyone had any good face pads/make up remover pad patterns. I hate to keep using cotton balls and my step mom gets angry when I use our face cloths because my eyeliner and mascara stains them.

Thanks guys and I can't wait to start!

I've made tons with the scrap ends of my cotton yarns. I've done two rounds of dc. 6 in the magic circle and 2 in each for the second round. It makes about and inch and a half circle. I have 2 jars in the bathroom cabinet, one for clean and one for dirty. Throw them in a mesh bag and off in the wash they go.

OMG thats brilliant! Im going to have to steal this idea-would save me soooo much money on makeup remover pads. My Urban Decay Primer Potion works so well that a regular cloth and hot water doesnt work like it usually does, so I spend a fortune on either cotton balls or makeup remover pads, but this is genius!

I use mine for everything but removing nail polish. My personal set has a lot of wonky thread ends, because I tie my odd lenghts together until I have a decent sized ball then I crochet away.

I use my cloths to wash dishes and wiping the counters and table. I just bought a tawashi book, that I think would be just as good as a cloth. For all but the stuck on, and greasey crap I think the cotton crocheted and knit cloths work great.
I use bath mitts in the shower, my fiance uses the largest cloths in the shower. We also use a crocheted bath poof in the shower.

I love this swap, it's quick and easy.

On a side note, I'm making up a couple of bundles of cloths that I'm going to pair with a small bottle of dishsoap, for my baby shower in a few weeks.
