2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Blankie recon on: September 09, 2009 06:02:40 AM
I still have my baby blanket! Weird that you just posted this, I fixed some of the seams on mine last night. I'm WAY attached. 28 years and counting...it's looking super ratty.

I vote for crocheting it into another blanket.
3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: The lighter side of grilling - Smoked Turkey Breast on: August 31, 2009 10:51:02 AM
I looked at the thumbnail and thought it was one of those anatomical hearts everyone is crafting lately...and on a grill no less. I'm glad I clicked through. Smoked turkey is the best : )

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: My various Psychobilly T recons ~evil shirts rock~ on: August 20, 2009 09:42:14 PM
I bow down to girls who can sew clothes. I can never find tops that are flattering for me, either, and my sewing skills are all in patchwork. This makes me want to give clothing another try.

You rock, mama.

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Star Afghan in RAINBOW Colors! on: August 16, 2009 07:33:33 PM
I tried to make that afghan last year around this time and the pattern drove me crazy. I don't know what I was doing wrong but it started to look more like a starfish because my corners started to turn and didn't stay straight. Which pattern did you use? I used "Beth's little star afghan"

I struggled with the pattern at first, too. This tute might help: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8645459@N07/sets/72157600301704130/ I've made two so far. It's a great pattern once you get the hang of it. : )
