1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: From Ashley Judd to Headboard? on: February 03, 2011 06:54:51 AM
I wanted to update. This headboard is still going strong. By using foam board I am able to simply velcro or command strip it to a wall. However, in my new place I had to contend with a window. So I nailed 2*4's to each side of the window and nailed the headboard to them. I am still in love with the color, so I haven't changed the ribbon yet. I have a twilight themed bedroom. I'll take pictures later.

Good idea! I saw a version of the bottom dress on the E! Golden Globes preview so I know that will have to be in my closet sometime soon.

Congrats, I'm not sure if I would have the patience.
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / From Ashley Judd to Headboard? on: January 09, 2009 05:16:43 AM
The local Goody's in our town closed and they had this big Ashley Judd hard foam board. I was on my way to the hardware store to buy plywood for a headboard but I thought- hey this might work. Then I saw a large black table cloth and my brain juices started to flow. So here is from Ashley Judd to Headboard! Just doing my little part to make my bedroom fabulous and recycle! Oh yeah...total cost $8

I found two awesome pics while boredly (yeah, yeah that isn't a word) scouring the internet. I love them and can't wait until I can get the motivation to try my hand at them. Any suggestions?

This one has Maggie London in the filename

I would kill with this and a pair of long boots!

I think everyone gets this way...ESPECIALLY at the New Year's. I picked up sewing again...made two articles of clothes and have only cut out a pattern since. I just can't seem to deal with all the money I spent picking up new fabrics- then not using them. But hey, we will get through this.

Let it go for a little while. Don't think about it for like two weeks. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I made it to page 33. My goodness... that thing needs to be organized like an FAQ list!

I'm thinking I want to be able to wear this thing with and/or without a bra.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: BurdaStyle patterns no longer free on: January 07, 2009 05:51:37 PM
I'm glad I saved and downloaded some of my favorites. I think they had a really good thing going, but that is the way the economy goes. User patterns should stay free if the user chooses and maybe they could still release a free pattern every week or so.
