1  Pixelated Warlock Spells in Completed Projects by Coma on: September 16, 2015 05:29:26 PM
This project took much longer than I thought it would. I was originally going to make three different spells but changed my mind halfway through the first one.
I custom-mixed many of the shades of acrylic paint as I went but these are actually made from acini di pepe pasta lol!
On to the pictures!

2  Beverage can Starcraft Mosaics in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Coma on: May 23, 2014 07:07:43 PM
My hubby once made a crack that I always make stuff for other people but not for him. This is mostly because the majority of my crafts are not things he would actually use.
So, after he ended up going out of town for work for two weeks, I decided to surprise him with a present. It turned into a set of three because I couldn't stop at one.

He liked them so they were worth the hours of work. Took much longer then I originally expected.

My inspiration came from this person's work

3  Miley Wrecking Ball Ornament in Winter Holidays by Coma on: December 15, 2013 02:41:21 PM
A friend sent me a link to one of these recently.

I knew immediately that I needed to make her one.

I ended up making two in different poses. Here is my favourite of them:

4  Pimp Nutcracker in Winter Holidays by Coma on: December 15, 2013 02:35:43 PM
I painted this guy for a friend of mine. He is another one that I bought unfinished at a dollar store. In order to make him hold his cane (toothpick with a bead glued on) I had to break his arm off and then re-attach it at a different angle.

I was happy with it, but if I ever make another I think his bling should have more dimension. Maybe I would actually make a thugged-out chain instead of just painting it on. And perhaps some tiny rhinestone 'diamond' earrings or teeth. Lol!

5  Polymer clay kiwi earrings in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by Coma on: September 08, 2013 03:34:12 PM
I made these for my daughter Kayla (sometimes known as Kayla-Kiwi).

This was only my second attempt at a cane ever. Here is a process pic:

I was pretty happy with them:)

6  Quilled Dragonfly in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Coma on: September 08, 2013 03:12:39 PM
I made this for my sister who loves dragonflies.

The lavender was originally going to be a main colour because it is her favourite, but the paper turned out to be too thick for neat quilling so I used it to cover the mat for the frame and in the background.

It is very hard to photograph something in a frame without the glare messing the picture up too badly...

Here it is!

Comments/constructive criticisms for things I might do better the next time?

9  Re: By Kids for Kids Holiday Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Coma on: December 16, 2011 05:53:52 PM
Kayla and Nyssa were soo excited to receive their package on Tuesday but we have been super busy so I haven't had a chance to put up photos until now. Sorry about that mjnovak & company!

Here are the lovely (stamped? stenciled?) cards tha Sydney and Dylan made:

The adorable ornaments they sculpted:

Finally the really coo bracelets. I don't know what kind of material they are made from but they are very pretty (and in the colours the girls like best) and they are flexible!

Thanks so much all! My daughters and I loved their first swap:D

10  Minecraft in Halloween Costumes by Coma on: November 04, 2011 08:09:02 PM
My stepson is a big Minecraft fan. He saw a cardboard "Steve head" that could be purchased online. I thought I could make one instead and decided to make a diamond pick-axe to go with it Cheesy

What do you think?
