1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / electronic scrapbook programs? on: November 17, 2010 02:43:41 PM
Hi everyone! I am interested in any helpful information you all might have on choosing an electronic scrapbook program... Ive been browsing Etsy and seeing all the adorable "printable cards and banners/ cupcake toppers" and I would love to have software to be able to create things similar to that. I love to host baby showers/ parties and it would be so helpful to have something I own and can personalize. So my question is what software can I purchase to do this with?
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / help! How do I do this? on: March 31, 2010 05:51:28 AM
I want to give my daughter a place to sit and color and paint and do whatever her little heart desires ( she is two) so I got this awesome night stand from a friend that was throwing it out- its a perfect square table and just the right height. It has some damage on the top from water so I want to cover it with scrap book paper that I already have picked out. My question is how do I do this in a way that it will hold up to a two year old and also be sealed and protected from water and food or paint or whatever? Thanks!!~ Jeffsweetie
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Birthday Party ideas for a 2 year old??? on: February 18, 2010 09:01:03 AM
Hi everyone! My oldest is turning two in March and I want to have a birthday party for her. So far I have NO ideas except that instead of a cake I want to make a cupcake cake. I am living in Italy so we dont really get to watch the kids shows that they have in the states, therefore my daughter doesnt really have a favorite character. I would like to do some sort of theme but I dont know where to begin! Id love any ideas on games and themes... there will be adults and kids from 1 year to 12 there. So it will have to be something everyone will enjoy. Thanks!
4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My First EVER Quilt - top on: January 08, 2010 06:47:19 PM
Im so excited to share this with you all! Several people on here have made this same quilt and I got inspired to make it for my soon to be 2nd daughter! Im due any day now... so I'm really glad Ive got the top done! I have the fabric for the backing and binding as well as the batting but I just finished the top tonight. Its way early in the morning here... The pattern is from the Moda Bake Shop-- I LOVE that site! So anyway this is my first attempt at a quilt and my first time using my sewing machine. I love it and I'm so excited to make more stuff! I will update with more pictures when its all the way completed! All the fabric is from my stash and mostly the Wal-Mart clearance section but some is from Joann's and Hancocks. On to the pictures... C&C Welcome and appreciated... I know its not perfect and there are lots of parts that don't line up perfectly, but I am IN LOVE with it anyway!
The third picture has the most accurate colors.

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Help! Paint splatter on rug on: January 02, 2010 04:16:04 PM
Hello all, this is my first post in Home Sweet Home - anything. So I am due with my second daughter in two short weeks, and we are working on her room. Its not SUPER urgent that it be done before she gets here because she will be sleeping in my room the first few months. However, My oldest daughter (21 months) decided that the nice pretty soft yellow rug that is PERFECT for a nursery, would look just a little better with Raspberry pink paint splattered on it. I was using the paint to paint some wood shelving and hubby left it within her reach and let her run loose. He says its too heavy to turn the other way (where the crib would cover it up) without moving all the furniture out.. and I dont really want to get rid of it. So any ideas on how I can fix it without cutting it up or turning it around? Its about a foot wide more or less... with little splatters going off in all directions.. I can live with the little splatters.. just not the huge glob! If I can Ill get him to take a picture with his phone and post it on here for you to see. Thanks everyone!
6  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Memory Quilt on: October 29, 2009 06:00:46 AM
Recently I acquired some clothes that belonged to a beloved Grandfather. I want to make a memory quilt from them to give to my Grandmother that she can hang on her wall (about the size of a baby quilt) but when I opened the bag of clothes it was mostly just Khaki pants. There is one really pretty olive green button up shirt that I can use but other than that there really is nothing with color in it. I havent done anything like this before and was wanting some ideas of clever things I could do and still make it pretty. Im not opposed to adding regular fabric but Im not sure what colors to go with. There are several different shades of Khaki. I thought I could do something with simple squares or maybe a log cabin pattern? Help please!~ Jeffsweetie
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Handy Dandy Pin Cushion on: September 15, 2009 01:28:49 PM
This is my first post of something I have actually made! I just learned how to use my sewing machine and I have begun fun little projects to boost my confidence. This is for the friend who helped me set up my sewing machine and showed me how to use it! I love this fabric! I am going to make another one for myself once I get some more buttons. I got the idea from here: http://paperstringcloth.blogspot.com/2007/07/pincushion-tutorial.html
sorry for the camera phone pics! C&C appreciated!
