1  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Fabric Dog Collars on: February 09, 2006 03:48:21 PM
I made these collars for my dogs, The first one is lime green fleece with a button closure, and the second one is pink velvet type material with a kanzahi flower made out of the same fabric. My dogs seem happy with them. I don't hook a leash onto these, I don't think they would be strong enough to hold, but they look pretty Grin I could not for the life of me get the first dog (Rallos) to not blink as the flash went off. The other one (Missy) didnt seem to mind the flash at all.

sorry, fixed the pics

2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Melt and Pour Soaps on: January 06, 2006 06:07:01 PM
These are some melt and pour soaps that me and my 5 year old  daughter made tonight:

She picks the color, scent, and mold, and I get to do all the dirty(but fun) work.
The red ones are strawberry scented, the blue moon is a scent called china rain, and the lilac ones are orange vanilla.
Thanks for looking Smiley

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Not so quick...use for future reference (gift for children) on: December 17, 2005 10:06:29 AM
Just thought of a cool gift for a kid, a matchbox town quilt, or could be made for a rug. Draw a town with roads and houses,(school, church, farm, store, construction site,etc..) onto a large piece of neutral colored fabric. You can use fabric markers or paints. Embellish your town with buttons, beads, ribbon, felt glitter... options are endless. I was thinking for the farm, you can cut animal shapes out of felt and sew Velcro dots onto the blanket to move the animals around. Use buttons for the middle of flowers that you can line the roads with. Give your town a name (name it after the child you are making it for). This would be a great way to use up fabric scraps and odd buttons. Hope his helps someone Smiley
(oops sorry, meant to mention that this would be for the little matchbox cars, or hot wheel cars)
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gift ideas for men??? on: November 24, 2004 06:16:34 AM
I am having a hard time thinking of something to make for my father, father-in-law, brothers, and brother-in-law. The women are easy, but I cant think of something the men in the family would use or enjoy. I was thinking food, but I want something crafty to go with cookies Smiley I thought maybe a mini zen garden but dont really know where to start, and they would probably collect dust. For my brother-in-law, I will probably stencil something from his favorite bands, just not sure what yet. My brother loves to ride dirtbikes, so maybe a Fox or Thor themed gift. Father-in-law is a Red Sox fan, but I dont knit well. And I really dont have a clue for my own father, he likes food. Any help would be much appreciated!!!
