I used decorative ribbon to tie back my window curtains. It has wire in the edges so that you can bend the ribbon to stay a certain way. I just adopted a new pet bird and placed the cage near the window. It totally didn't dawn on me to think twice about the wire and just noticed that part of the ribbon was chewed and found a piece of the wire at the bottom of it's cage. :-/ Birds aren't supposed to be exposed to lead, as they can get lead poisoning, and I'm wondering what this wire is made of.
Sorry this isn't a crafty question... but if anyone knows what this wire is made of, my little bird's life could be at stake here.
