Or just a really spiffy headband...  Wink

A friend of the family is having a baby, and they thought it was going to be a girl, so I bought this awesome hothot pink yarn to make the Sn'B umbilical cord hat... but they just found out it was a boy! So here i was with this insanely bright yarn, a pair of sevens, and time to kill.

uses: great for raves, bike riding @ night, stopping traffic, or just blinding the b'jesus out of people!

ps... I don't know why, I just thought sunglasses justified the look. hehe! Tongue

3  knitting rox my sox! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Flapperjakk on: March 06, 2005 10:07:44 AM
I finally felt compelled to knit some sox! they still need some work, as you can see the hole at the toe! hehe... but these are my frist real pair, and really quick to make! I had an entire ball of Jiffy yarn left over, size 10 dpns, and used the Elizabeth Bennet sock pattern generator, which was really useful!

5  Gwennabe Zim Hat! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Flapperjakk on: January 21, 2005 09:25:28 AM
Alas! Another hat I designed! The title was inspired by lisascenic's split Gwen Stefani & Liz Zimmerman personality Wink... also Gwen's latest Louis Vuitton blue, white n' black corset thing-a-ma-jig she wore.

Right now the black crochet bow tie is temporary until I can get my mits on some black ribbon... also debating whether or not to make a black pom-pom for the top of it. hmm... decisions, decisions!

7  Re: Projects from "Last Minute Knitted Gifts" in Knitting: Completed Projects by Flapperjakk on: January 16, 2005 12:41:03 PM
At first I thought  "Airy Scarf" wasn't too inspiring, but it actually turned out quite nice... I used this beige fingering wool with gold thread that I found at my aunt's house in Germany... I found it as an unlabled skein... which is too bad because I really like it. Anyway, I figured it would be perfect for this project!

8  Jiffy Tube-Top in a Jiff! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Flapperjakk on: January 06, 2005 12:44:14 PM
I wanted to knit a tube-top, but I couldn't find any patterns on the web or in any books, so I got out my trusty #9 circulars and whipped this baby up.

I used Lion Brand Jiffy yarn in White. It's soo snuggly, and really does look like Mohair! The tubetop fits pretty well, except for being a bit snug on the top, but I'm guessing it'll stretch after a couple of wears.

9  Re: Boobholder/Minisweater (link to free pattern!) in Knitting: Completed Projects by Flapperjakk on: January 03, 2005 05:50:15 PM
So this is my first ever sweater, and so far, I'm up to Row 34 of the Minisweater pattern... see Exhibit A:

(Exhibit A)

For those of you who completed this pattern, does this look right? Or did I fudge it up? Opinions and advice, please! I'm just a smidge confuzzed.  Roll Eyes

10  Combat Baby Tote Bag! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Flapperjakk on: December 28, 2004 09:29:48 AM
For xmas, my parents bought me "25 Bags to Knit", since on top of knitting, I've also gotta bag fetish!

While I was in London, I bought this amazing camoflauge colored Jaeger Merino Wool, and couldn't decide what to do with it, so I used it to make the orange "clementine" bag on pg. 86. And instead of stitching daisies I used metal studs to give it that... err... "I'm gonna kick ur booty" look? hehe!

The patterns are pretty easy, but the bag itself isn't meant to carry anything heavier than keys and a wallet... give or take a couple of butterscotch candies  Wink... I should probably line it, to make it more sturdy.

All in all, it was really quick and fun to make. The handle is basically one big button hole... Though I won't say that part didnt' hurt.  Tongue
