This is so creative and a great way to recycle! If you don't mind me asking where do you find the 'blank newsprint'?
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Lanyard Re-con--->Martingale Collar on: May 11, 2010 01:38:40 PM
So hubby went to the Louisville Truck show a few years ago and brought home like 15 Cummins lanyards. After giving some to family and friends and using them ourselves we were down to one. Hubby was coveting it for a super special project, he just didn't know what.  Roll Eyes He approached me the other day and asked me to make a collar for the Ebbs. So after he carefully removed all the hardware I was left with a piece about 2' long. Perfect size for a dog collar except...half the print was on the top and half was on the bottom.  Undecided I brain stormed and after a few minutes it hit me that I could make a martingale collar. Once the lanyard was cut down to size I could make the pieces match. Smiley

7  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: I <3 OWLS (SIGNUPS CLOSED; MAIL BY 6/7/10) on: May 10, 2010 12:37:44 PM
OMG! I have 1 medium 90% done now and I am SO EXCITED about it! It WILL be finished before I go to bed tonight.  Grin It freakin' rocks, and it's even something new I'm trying. I'm totally addicted, Etsy watch out because I've found something almost as obsessive as sewing pet things, hehe. Though I'm sort of upset with myself because I meant to bring one of my projects to work with me and I forgot it on my counter. :/

I'm so excited, digging around today I found an awesome 'smallish/medium" project to do! It's going to be so cool I wish that I did _______ _______ so I could make one for myself! I might just make one for my self and turn it into a _________ instead. Now if it would only stop raining long enough to go tramping through the woods to find the supplies I need to make the _____ ______. I'd be all set. DH is away at a bachelor's party tonight so I may open a bottle of wine and craft the night away when I get off work. May be a good idea, may be a not so good idea. I'll let you know when I wake up in the morning. haha  Cheesy
9  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Pleasure Horse Stained Glass on: May 05, 2010 01:01:10 PM
Thanks everyone!

hgddm, the foil was provided as one of the things that our lab fees went towards. I'm not sure where my instructor found it but I think I remember seeing it at Hobby Lobby maybe?

Thanks Mannon2, I really would like to do some more glass crafts at home. I just don't have the money to put towards it right now. Someday though, I am for sure hanging onto the few supplies that we had to buy for the class. The biggest thing I need is a water grinder ($$$).
