I'm in LOVE with that Wonder Woman skirt, and it looks amazing on you! I always look at those fabrics but never have the confidence to believe I can pull it off... I think you've just inspired me Smiley

Do it. I've done a few styles of skirts and fun multi directional prints are fantastic for circle skirts.

Love, love, love that WonderWoman skirt and I have to agree with alwaysinmyroom. I think you look like Rose McGowan in her hayday!  Wink

Beautiful clothes and creator!  It's great to see girly twirly skirts and fascinators.

Awww, thank you both so much!

The skirt is so cute.  Are you a model?  You are quite photogenic and seem to know how to best show off your beautiful clothes!

Love the skirt with the leggings and also adding the stole to a good flattering dress!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much! Nope, not a model haha. Just like to strike a pose when the camera is on me!

What could be better than a Star Wars diaper bag with 14 pockets?! Love it!

I want to fill it up completely with a bunch of geeky handmade baby stuff too so hopefully that will be better! haha!

Wow, wonderful skirts and that blouse is so flattering. It must be fun to make things for yourself that fit perfectly. That's what I love about sewing. Now I just need to get motivated to stitch for myself.

It's a blast! I was so scared to start clothing but I started doing some things for my daughter since she is only 3, it used a lot less fabric. And that gave me a basic idea on how to do similar things for myself. I branched out a lot with that blouse. The neckline was super difficult to figure out lol but I got it. After I had made it I had to go back in and put some fisheye darts in and realistically it still needs two in the back as well but I've been lazy and since I was wearing it with a fitted skirt, you couldn't tell it was a little loose in the back anyway. Next up I want to attempt a bustier blouse and then progress to a couple full dresses and eventually my own high waisted retro style jeans. I bought all the supplies for it but I'm a bit scared lol. I always am at the beginning of uncharted territory. And then I progress to "OMG, this is horrible and disfigured and a waste of time." and then "Oh, this isn't as bad as I thought." and finally "Wow, this turned out better than I expected. I'm proud!"

So all that is to say, it's fun. Torturous but fun!

A friend of mine wanted a geeky diaper bag so I promised to make one for her. Here is the final result. It has 14 pockets total- 6 outer pockets and 8 inner. I designed it myself and made it all according to the measurements I marked out. The 6 outer pockets include one large slip pocket (perfect for a laptop, notebook or changing pad) on the back, 3 small slip pockets on the front, an elastic bottle pocket on the side and a velcro flap pocket on the other side. The inner pockets include a zipper pocket, 3 small slip pockets and a medium slip pocket, a diapers and wipes pocket (could be used for other things though) and two more bottle pockets with elastic. There is still lots of open space in the center for lots of other stuff. The inner bag measurements are approximately 15" x 4" x 10". There is no closure on the flap so it can be left open or flopped over an overstuffed diaper bag (because mammas know they fill up fast).

Right now it just has a bunch of random stuff in it, but I plan on packing it full with things she can use for baby too.

Hey all, I haven't posted much in a while so this is a bit of stuff I've made for myself lately.

This is my most favorite recent creation. My Wonder Woman skirt! I bought all I could find of this fantastic fabric which wasn't much but it was enough to make this gorgeous circle skirt, which I trimmed with yellow bias tape.

So next a couple accessories- a fur stole and fascinator. I did not make the dress in this . It was on sale and I couldn't resist splurging on a pre-made item for myself. But it was for Christmas so I needed something to warm it up a bit.

I've been making skirts and leggings for myself for a while now but I just finished my first blouse for this last Easter. I also made the skirt to go along with it. I made the pattern for the blouse off of my measurements and was quite pleased with the outcome. I love the neckline the most!

I'm working on some new stuff too so hope to post a couple new skirts in a couple weeks Smiley

That is such a fun piece!  It makes me hungry just looking at it, and I may have to bake some chocolate chip cookies today!

I want cookies too lol.

That's got to be THE most creative take on a necklace I've ever seen--very impressive!

I wonder what Santa would make of someone leaving him that as his "milk and cookies", lol?

Awww thanks so much! lol, I'm not sure they would meet his needs that way though. The man goes to millions of children all over the world- I think he needs a high caloric intake for the night to make it through that much work. He might want the real thing haha.
