1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Mason Dixon Log Cabin baby blanket question!! on: July 04, 2007 02:50:49 PM
I haven't picked up my sticks in a few months, and I'm kind of stuck on the instructions for block one, where it states "Using A, CO 42 sts. Knit 36 garter ridges. BO." I've CO 42 sts and knit 36 garter ridges, but what do I do with the leftover 6 sts? Do I leave them on the needle and bind off the 36 sts, or do I bind all 42 sts off? Heeeeellppp!!!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knit Green Clutch for summer :) on: June 04, 2005 04:47:43 PM
I did this in a night, modified from samilynn9's  felted clutch ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=30175.0 ).  I added more shaping and used stockinette stitch instead of garter and opted out of the eyelash yarn.  I think if I toss this in the washer it may felt a bit...the yarn is Lion Brand Watercolors #373 Pond Green, which is 65% acrylic and 35% merino. Out of all the Lion Brand I use, I like this the best, along with Cotton Ease SmileySmiley

Please excuse the typical Myspace/scenester bathroom pictures. The bathroom has the best lighting! I'm sorry!

'Scuse my boobs and the flash.

I think I will line this, maybe with http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=96020&PRODID=98965 or http://reprodepot.com/jazzage.html or http://reprodepot.com/mijo.html.  If anyone has some cool fabric links let me know. thanks Smiley
3  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Russian Winter Hat from SnBN on: February 18, 2005 12:55:40 AM
This is my first time posting a completed project, and I'm very happy with how it turned out because I had to frog this thing about 4 times to get everything correct through trial and error.  But it was worth it!

I substituted Austermann Koala in #13 Burnished Apricot instead of the GGH, which I did find online but it was too expensive.  For the ties, I used the Peruvian Collection Highland Wool in Allspice.  (I got it from Elann.com.)

And here are the pictures  Shocked

It's so cute, and when I wore it out today I got a compliment from a guy who asked where I got it, and he seemed surprised when I answered that I'd made it.  He asked how, and I said, "Knitting!"  Then he was even more surprised.   Cheesy
