the 20's fabric is definitely the cutest for the bag, although i dont know how well it goes with the button of kali.

Yeah, I just put that on there so it wasn't like "oh how boring."  You're right though Smiley
16  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knit Green Clutch for summer :) on: June 04, 2005 04:47:43 PM
I did this in a night, modified from samilynn9's  felted clutch ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=30175.0 ).  I added more shaping and used stockinette stitch instead of garter and opted out of the eyelash yarn.  I think if I toss this in the washer it may felt a bit...the yarn is Lion Brand Watercolors #373 Pond Green, which is 65% acrylic and 35% merino. Out of all the Lion Brand I use, I like this the best, along with Cotton Ease SmileySmiley

Please excuse the typical Myspace/scenester bathroom pictures. The bathroom has the best lighting! I'm sorry!

'Scuse my boobs and the flash.

I think I will line this, maybe with http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=96020&PRODID=98965 or http://reprodepot.com/jazzage.html or http://reprodepot.com/mijo.html.  If anyone has some cool fabric links let me know. thanks Smiley

19  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Re: Who is your favourite artist? on: June 04, 2005 12:27:30 PM
Salvador Dal was one of my favourites in high school.  His life was very interesting...he loved his wife very much but was also in love with himself and that's why a great many of his paintings have a self-portrait in them or the word "masturbator" in the title.

I also love Frida Kahlo...I painted a homage to her my junior year and it won a regional art award.

Now I am getting  into more folk artistry and contemporary artists. I really like the work of Swedish artist Johanna st.

Elizabeth McGrath is another artist I really like. Her stuff is really creepy but adorable at the same time...or maybe I'm just weird  Grin

I like Mark Ryden, Camille Rose Garcia and Gris Grimly too.
