1  Help identifying vintage sewing accessories? in Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions by gracky on: December 30, 2008 11:33:08 PM
When my aunt heard I got a sewing machine for christmas, she gave me her mother's old sewing box, full of buttons, thread, trims - and a few things i'm not sure about.
I figured since you all know a lot more about sewing than I do, I'd see if anyone can help me identify some of them.

I think this is just a regular old blade, but I was wondering if it had any specific significance to sewing.

There was a package of about 20 of these dime-sized little things - they all say "dritz" on the top.

I assume the pencil is for marking on fabric, but I'm not sure about either of the brushes.
The one on the opposite end of the pencil has thick plastic bristles.

The little point comes out when you push down the red lever.

No idea about these little things - they're plastic and about the size of a postage stamp.

I thought these were buttons at first, but they have no shanks or anything.  I'd love to use them for something though, because they're just so pretty!
They're made of metal and about the size of a quarter.

Don't laugh if any of these are totally obvious, hahah.  Thanks in advance!
