1  Re: Oreo Balls :) These are seriously delicious and so easy! in Dessert by KatBerry on: December 13, 2008 04:28:12 PM
I'm still not sure what I'll call these things. So far I've heard people call them "Oreo Balls", "Oreo Bombs", and now "oreo dreambites". Any other names for them out there?
Anyway, I took a picture of the ones I made.

The ones on the left were made with melted chocolate chips but that got screwed up (especially the white chocolate). The rest are with the actual chocolate wafers that are ment for melting.

I don't remember where I found it but here's the template.

I just re-sized it and printed the outline on regular paper. Then I traced it onto cardstock paper and cut it out (don't forget to cut out the slots to stick the rounded parts thru). After that, pretty it up however you want.
I traced the sides onto different scrapbook papers and glued those on.
It needed a little bit more so I used my snowflake punch and stuck some of those on the blank sides.

I hope that was easy to understand. I'm horrible at explaining things.
Very simple and very fun. Many ways to get creative with these boxes.

Note: Another thing I found to help shape it... I took my little glue stick and rolled the sides around it a bit to get it rounded nicely.

I made some little boxes, for treats like chocolates and such, to give to all my friends.
