Darn, all the pictures (but one) in the tutorial are gone.  Anyone have them somewhere?
22  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ OCT on: October 21, 2008 05:10:33 PM
Forgot to post sept's filler.  It's a popcorn square

I think the camo isn't the best color to use with it, but it's the base for this afghan.

And here is october's square, which I really liked even with deciding what extra rows to add.

I found the orange yarn a nicer color to work with then I thought it would be.

Now, I'll be deciding on what to use for a filler for october.

Here's my October square. If I had thought about it and how big the square was going to be, I would have made the "pumpkin" a lot bigger.

Pretty.  I like it.

I just started mine.  Broke down and got some orange too.  I figure I'll find something to do with the rest of it.

Have I mentioned pizza boxes?  I use the 13" ones I get from my local Abbys.  The last time I got 10 for $4.
They are perfect for the 12" squares.

I finished september's square.

I made it smaller, ch11 instead ch17 at the start, because it was just too big.  If anyone wants to know how, I'm happy to share the adjustments.

I plan to do a square amber waves called for my filler.

Well I could not figure it out, so I charted it:

At least according to my chart, it's 17 sc per side.  I have the last side (the top of the square) give me the most problems finding a place for number 17, but I was able to do it.

If anyone find anything wrong with it, let me know.

Btw, someone on ravelry found one other correction:

In outside round 4:

instead of:

"hdc in ea of next 3 dc,"

she thought it should be:
"hdc in next dc, ch 1, skip next dc, hdc in ea of next 3 dc,"

What have people get as a count for each side on outside round 1? Is it 16 sc per side, with the 2 ch-sp in the corner? Im just getting a little confused. Smiley

yellowduckie, your squares look so nice and neat. Are you going to start another afghan with the caron ss or are you adding these squares to the afghan you already started?

Starting a new one.
