1101  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: My First Taggie-type Blanket on: December 02, 2008 01:27:51 PM
My brother just had little boy #5 on November 20th.  I've been thinking of making one of these for baby Wade.  Yours has inspired me to get a move on.  Great work.

I just lost a scarf that took me a year and a half to knit.  (I kept getting distracted)  The first time I wore it, I lost it.  So I'm digging this little guy that won't fall off while out and about.  The owl has got to be the cutest one I've seen in a long time.  Great work!
1103  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: MY new, fish purse^^ on: November 29, 2008 10:29:06 PM
These are the cutest little change purses ever.  Very colorful and love the little fishy lips.  Great work!
1104  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: A WHOLE NEW BATCH OF RESIN GOODIES! MANY PICS! on: November 24, 2008 09:40:25 PM
I agree, the window sill is my favorite photo spot.  Your work is beautiful.  My girls love the ones with peace signs.  I like the ones with keys and hearts.  Always been drawn to hearts for some reason.  You've done a great job all around.
1105  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Bookmark swap? on: November 24, 2008 08:55:18 PM
This does sound like the perfect swap for a newby.  I've swapped elsewhere  but never here.  With two girls that read as much as I do, I never seem to have enough bookmarks.  I like the idea of sending to multiple people.  Not sure how you'd keep track of that, but it sounds like fun since postage would be inexpensive.
1106  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: A Bag with a Plan on: November 24, 2008 08:46:26 PM
Nice to know I'm not the only Bag Lady around.  If this swap starts after the new year I'd love to participate.  I'll have been around long enough to join a swap then.   Grin  It'll give me a chance to find my counter top once the Holiday crafting craze has subsided.
1107  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Wist Swap Gallery! on: November 24, 2008 08:17:18 PM
What great treasures!  I can't wait until I've been around here long enough to start swapping.  I've swapped ATC's and paper related goodies on another site for years.  I cant' wait to get started on other crafty goodness.
1108  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: I battled free motion - and free motion won.... on: November 21, 2008 05:11:18 PM
WOW!  Your quilt is beautiful.  I think you did a great job on your free motion.  I talked to a lady here that teaches and has published books on the subject.  She told all of us taking her class to practice whatever stitch on paper until we could do it without focusing on the pen and it felt natural.  Just doodle until you like your design.  She also said that even the quilts that get published in magazines have a flaw or two that will drive the quilter that made it crazy.  I agree, that the faster pace is easier to work with.

Love the free motion.  I never thought to buy a panel to practice on.  You're just too darn smart me.  My nephews would go crazy over this quilt.  I'm headed to the fabric store tomorrow to have a look at their panels.  Your work has inspired me.

Awesome work!  The color combo is great.  The birdie in the pocket is such a thoughtful touch.  What a great first project.
