1  Re: Help Me Lose Weight Swap Round 2 Gallery (SO 8/14/2010) in The Swap Gallery by swampolympics on: August 08, 2010 04:17:32 PM
Prepare to be envious! Ffrogg526 was the BEST swap partner I've ever had!!  Grin
Please ignore my messy apartment, we're in the process of moving!

First (and one of my favorites) was a yoga mat bag, right off my wists! I took multiple photos of it because I love it so much!
 First, my holding it:

Then two different ways to wear it (if it seems long, it's actually perfect because I'm only 5'6 and my husband is 6'4 and he'll use it too!)

Next, she made me (another fav!) a water bottle holder!!!

And of course another favorite...stitch markers!! I'm a new knitter, so I am very excited about these! Plus, seeing how awesome ffrogg is at crochet, I'm going to try and learn while on this two week break! There is a running, yoga, ipod, water bottle, strawberry (my fav food!) and weights!

These next two photos are a strawberry that folds out into a reusable bag! It's perfect for farmers markets. Since I live in Chicago (and there are so many) I go at least 3 times a week!

And last, but not least! She got my two workout shirts with iron transfer to decorate!

Thanks for such an awesome swap ffrogg526! I love these items more than I can express!

I received on March 22 from twonderland! she made a tan and green hemp bracelet with beads! Here are the photos:

Unfortunately, I am unable to wear it. My wrist is a "size 6" and the bracelet is for a size 9. : (
So, I made it a wreath for my lion. It sits on the window in my living room!

4  First Time Knitter!!! Very excited!! in Knitting: Completed Projects by swampolympics on: March 22, 2010 02:18:01 PM
I just learned how to knit on Wednesday night, after buying a stitch n bitch book. Now it's Monday (5 days later!) and I have completed a scarf and 2 dish towels! I don't really know how to read patterns yet, but I'm still really excited!

On the scarf, you can see the big error I made. It left a hole Sad I'm going to the Salvation Army tomorrow to find a brooch to put over it!

And my dish rags. I made them for my Grandma's 70th Birthday this Saturday. Her kitchen is in red, white and blue. Luckily, Sugars n Cream makes a red white blue 100% cotton on clearance for 99 cents at Michael's!

I took a close up picture of the stitch. What's it called? Just a "regular stitch"?

Comments and Criticism welcome!

6  Now you can ride your bike safely and fashionably! in Completed Projects by swampolympics on: July 22, 2009 08:49:04 AM
I hope I put this is the right area...since I couldn't find an area dedicated to electronics. I know that riding your bike with a light attached to it is kind of dorky..so I came up with a new idea inspired by monkeylectric.com.

Everything used for making my LED spoke lights can be purchased from your local RadioShack! I purchased 3 colors of LEDs, Capacitors, Solder, Soldering Iron, PC board, 9V battery, Toggle switch, battery holder, 18g wire...i think that was it. If you want to see the schematic I can post that as well.

On to the picture! When I ride my bike it just looks like a swirl of colors on my front spokes. I have a switch so I can turn it on and off instead of having to take out the battery! The picture is crappy because it was taken with my macbook. I'll try to have my husband get a night time action shot if you want! Thanks!

C&C welcome. I hope this is a good first project post!

I usually only photograph urban ex, pets and bugs. I never photoshop or edit any of my photos, so I hope you enjoy! Comments/Criticism welcome (anything to help me improve!). I use a canon eos t2 as well as a canon eos xti Smiley
