41  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Hat with Tassles from HIP TO KNIT book on: January 11, 2005 03:08:41 PM
eeep....I love this hat.   This was my first attempt at cables and I love doing cables now.  I think I've made 5 of these now for friends and I made a teeny tiny one for my new neice.  I'm going to try and post a pic of my son modeling it for me (that is if I can figure out how to post it) and my neice's hat.

Holy cowpokia...that sweater turned out AWESOME.  Great job, and I LOVE the green.  I only hope to pull off a sweater like that soon.  You have a lucky sister!

Thank you.  I was trying to read more into it.  I will be alright until I get to the armholes and neck, but I'm going to try and figure it out....if not, I'll be back.

Thanks!

Help....(and I know I can get it here from all you crafty gals)...my hubby is drooling over this sweater.  I've tried to show him other ones but this is what he wants.  This will be my first sweater attempt, and I have read the directions over and over again.  I don't understand when she says to work something at the same time....What does this mean? Work what at the same time.  I have read it over and over, looked at the pictures and can't get my mind around it.  It is probably something insanely easy, but I'm clueless.  I'm about to go out and buy the yarn (yay) and I'm dying to get started on it. If I could get some help, I would greatly appreciate!!

btw...everyone else's sweaters look amazing, and I hope mine turns out as well!

Thanks. Smiley

I bought each of my crafty sister in laws a set of these needles for Christmas, and they absolutely loved them.  Raved about them, how easy it was to change the needle size in the middle of a project, yadda yadda yadda.  Sooooo, I whined (or my husband said I whined) for a set for myself.  I am a fairly new knitter and didn't feel I had enough experience to warrent a set, but my mother in law hooked me up with a set and I LOVE them.  I use them on everything.  I actually hadn't knit in the round until I had this set.  I was intimidated, and now I'm a whiz!!  I hope to start a sweater for my hubby soon.

So, in my humble opinion, go, go now...get a set!!
