I fibbed. One more. I have yet another bare wall behind the crib. She loves that chime, so that stays. She is a daredevil already so whatever I do, it has to be out of reach.

And lastly, the closet. Ho hum.

Since my first post, I have gotten a few ideas but before I plow ahead I wanted to see if there were other suggestions out there that I may like better. I sew fairly well and am a whiz with a hammer and nails. Hubby is great with paints. (No, the funny little mural was not his...I mean painting furniture and walls!  Cheesy)

Ok. Aside from the floors we have the windows with bamboo shades and ugly doors and lights switches.

We will probably keep the little mural by this window. Not great, but it is sentimental. Notice no drapes or curtains!

Here is the old rocker I want to doll up.

The light switches were spray painted and look awful. The trim was obviously painted POORLY at one time. WE have a can of chocolate colored paint we are thinking of pulling back out to match the shelves that are going up.

O.K. As promised, pictures. I'll break it down so people can reply more easily.

Floors: hardwood with an "Oriental" rug. I like the rug, and want to incorporate its color scheme into the room. Sorry, no pictures handy sans baby. We have olive and sage greens, chocolate and tan for browns and cranberry colors.

Also, this is what the floor under the crib is like. I want to skirt it or something, to hide toys underneath.

We then have her hamper and bin and half of a bassinet that we store toys in.
