21  total n00b crochets..... (*far more pics than is necessary*) in Crochet: Completed Projects by Le Mieux on: February 18, 2009 11:42:13 AM
ok, so i have been very envious of people who can crochet for a long time. it looks cool, and you can do so much with it. so, the other day, i decided to buy a hook and some (cheap) wool.

i saw a brilliant amigurumi creature made here, and a link to a youtube tutorial, and thought "ok, start small". so i crocheted a ball, which looked awful, so i folded it into a hat for my skeletonmonkey:

well, i thought he looked so damn cool, not fair. i decided i was gonna make one for meee. so, i started crocheting a big ball, and went from there. its all single crochet, the only thing i have mastered. and i love it! here are far too many photos than is needed:

to show how long i made it - i wanted it all scrunchy at the back so it'd look like audrina from the hills (i love her. it bugs me):

Cheesy thanks for looking! maybe my next posting will include more than one crochet skill!  Cheesy

22  fluffy furry hat with ears (sposed to be a kitteh, looks more like a bear) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Le Mieux on: January 17, 2009 08:26:22 AM
so...theres been a lot of these animal-eared hats floating around craftster at the mo....all of which have inspired me to make my own.

i've always wanted to be a cat! so why not start at the ears?

the result is less-cat, more generic-animal-eared, but i'm well happy with the outcome. not to mention i used my favourite white faux fur in the world, so i can keep both sets of ears nice and warm against the english wind.

here are the results!

23  simply fascinating, dahling.......(old pun, no longer amusing) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Le Mieux on: January 11, 2009 12:59:00 PM
hello!

i was recently made unemployed (boooo) but found that all this spare time could be used to try out new crafts (yaaaaay) so i decided to attempt.....headware.

these are my first attempts at The Fascinator. it wasnt that difficult to make, but unlike so many people on craftster, i am a first-timer-all-fingers-and-thumbs and havent mastered the Professional Finish yet. these objects also required the first usage of a gluegun....which im now obsessed with! much to the hatred of my burnt fingers! anyway, onto the headware.....

1) lacy-bow on teardrop

2) ruffled heart (love this, its very sensual in real life.....waaaow!)

3) sequinned heart....as inspired by my boobie-tassles.

the last one - i did it, then discovered this was already on craftster!! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=246780.0  i like to think it somehow inspired me through some unconsious medium....perhaps all pasty-owners think alike?

now now this is my 1st post so if ive done something wrong or something doesnt work, sorry sorry but i hope you like the headgear! so please comment away! x
