It may be known in some circles as Butcher's paper. Not sure if it's used in Australia or not, but some butcher shops in the U.S. use the paper still for wrapping meats and whatnot. You may want to try some specialty cooking shops for it, if you haven't already.

Haha, I think you talked me into it! Ive been crocheting for quite awhile now, so I've got that step down. It'll just be conquering the felting! But your directions were terrific so Im sure I'll be able to get it with only some moderate grumbling.  Grin

Hmm, I've always made dishcloths with double crochet, or just granny squares. This does seem like it'd be a better stitch to use....*lightbulb*. Great idea and colors!

Well....its better than knitcroching I suppose....  Wink

Thanks!  It worked up easier than I thought it would, but while I was making it I was thinking about the talented folks who make big blankets with pictures on them using this stitch, it boggles my mind!

Ive made just regular blankets with tunisian and thought Id go blind. My Dad calls his a Mummy blanket because its just wide enough to cover him sufficiently, but its about 8 feet long so he can wrap it over his head and feet. The color changes in it were enough to make anyone batty!

Hmmm, I'd say you'd only be nuts if you put a bell on the collar....but then again, 'tis the season Wink
